Was really cool to see these. The former Hyatt Regency in Dearborn, MI had a similar design (including a revolving restaurant at the top) and had the same type of scenic elevators back in the early 1980s. The circular floor design in the elevator lobbies is a remnant of where a pedestal-style call station used to be located. Each had two big plastic white lens plunger-type buttons on top; "up" would be lit in white and "down" would be lit in red once pushed. I have never been able to find any video on KZbin of these vintage pedestal-style call stations; I suspect none are in service anymore. The original fixtures inside the cars were Otis Lexan (halos) if I recall correctly, though it's been a long time.

So, back in 1969 when I was about 8 years old. We were in Atlanta and went to the then fairly new Hyatt Regency and had lunch at the Polaris restaurant. In those days dining up there was quite an experience as it was a true sit-down rotating restaurant. An older lady who was on the elevator that we were riding in passed out as the elevator went up through the roof before entering the restaurant. I guess she thought that it was a major malfunction. One of those funny incidents. I suspect that it being the cocktail hour that the old lady may have had one too many prior to the elevator ride.

Can you do a video on your PBX? Do you use CME?
@musicfreakcc2 жыл бұрын
I really should, I’ve been holding off on that. I use Asterisk for my PBX. I do use SCCP on my Cisco phones via Chan_SCCP.
@DatamasterCorporation2 жыл бұрын
@@musicfreakcc Oh nice, you got chan_SCCP to work. I have it running on my copy of FreePBX, pretty well honestly too. I was told that it would be rather unstable but I am honestly pretty happy with how well it works. I've had more problems with the Cisco SPA and 3PCC phones than I've had with my 79XX on FreePBX. I like how you tied in the lights to it as well. That would be cool to see how it all works. Would love to do the same with my installation.
