I watch every video of the Otis Taylor band that gets posted on KZbin playing Hey Joe. I never get tired of it. Goosebumps!

I just discovered Otis a few days ago and I've been listening non-stop. There's so many performances of it I can't believe it. I wish he would record this live version in a studio, I have yet to find the perfect sound mix where all the instruments are perfect.

Otis Taylor and his band offer an almost mesmerizing version of what has always been a great song anyway. The haunting intro heavy with echo is almost terrifyingly poignant as is the soulful fiddle playing by the charismatic, Ann Harris, In some way, Ann Harris is the shot down woman as she writhes from the ripping lead and cries mournfully through her fiddle playing. To enhance the metaphor further would be entirely inappropriate, yet tempting. I have watched nearly all versions by Otis Taylor here on KZbin, yet there seems to still be more - like this one here. I ju,st can't believe the beauty of this musical creation. Thanks and massive plaudits to Otis Taylor, Ann Harris and their sidemen for giving so much.

He's got more lead guitar players than I've ever seen . No joke...I have seen at least 4 different ones but they all kill it ! Love the way he does this song and it's just different .
