I tell you what. It is certainly a feelsbad moment when this happens to you. You thought all along you were playing good honest magic, you pull ahead, they drop of the bloodletter you already used your last removal 2 turns ago on a shelly and then next turn you lose from 23hp.

It's less clunky when you play the 2 cards as part of mardu control you just simply play blood letter as one of your creatures and rush as a sweeper with the utility to win on the spot if the position presents itself.... Idk why everyone is all in on dimir for the deck remember the combo itself is all. Black spells so there is a world that this combo isn't clumsy and janky and actually a real win con 😅

I personally feel like these instant, kill out of nowhere without combat damage is cheap, unfulfilling, and a bad direction for magic as a whole. But the bloodletter plus mind-link mech is cool!

i'm playing a variation of this deck, thanks, i mainly added ertai, cause i'm an asshole, more creature destruction with some "pile on" , see above why i did that, and two interesting cards: lazav from otj and lively dirge. Since i draw and discard with several cards, like the mage with the champion face, i forgot the name, i can discard the bloodletters and copy with lazav when im commiting the crime of targeting them with the dread card, making it harder to counter. and lively dirge allows me to search for a bloodletter and get ready to copy it when i need it.

I just wanna play for fun, but if there are only 2 lands or only 2 spells in my top 15 cards, I'm not really playing at all. Especially when you don't have all the rare lands to help fix the problem.

I’ve found I draw more land when I 25 vs 27. My theory is that the shuffler see your percentage of card types and weighs those smaller pools against the big land pool and tries to push them to the top.

Just played draft this morning. Kept a 2 lander on the draw. My 4th turn I was still at 2 land. I run 18/40 in limited. But I got 2 out of 11 cards. It’s not even fun…just dukb

I like this combo better in monoblack with tutors to find. Karns sylex to help keep the board under control. A mix of kill spells and discard in a vampire package for alternative beats. They call me conspiracy theorist but whenever I play Blue I see more blue decks and I dislike counterspells sooo it's not worth the splash for the aggravation. A tried it black green for better kill spells. Black red to try to double up on the Burn spells. I haven't tried it with white yet.
