FYI! I covered the bare basics in this video. When I said we have 5 senses, I was referring to our 5 main ones which are touch, taste, small, hearing, and sight. If we want to dive deeper, we actually have 8 senses (adding proprioception, vestibular, and interoception). I'd be happy to make a video on this but wanted to clarify here that I was referring to the main 5 for the purposes of explaining sensory input in simplified terms. chlss.org/blog/8-senses-parenting-sensory-processing-disorder/

Proprioception is the internal awareness of the body position of body parts in space and in relation to each other. Kinaesthesia is the awareness of movement of body parts in space.
