I’ve already passed the NBCOT-COTA, but I just wanted to stop by and say, THANK YOU for sharing all of your knowledge and being so supportive of those who are becoming future OT practitioners (OTR/COTA)! You are awesome! Have a wonderful day and week ahead, OTRex! 😊

Did my fieldwork level II in a VA hospital. I got to work with two veterans that have a diagnosis of ALS, and it’s so true about veterans being twice as likely to acquire this disease than civilians. They work 10-18 hours duty and when in combat they are always on duty, constantly stressed and in flight or fight mode. And exposure to toxins such as morning metals, rubber, agent orange under duress is very prominent. It’s really heartbreaking.
