why I think they put IPhone 2021 XL is they basically release the cases before the phone comes out and they don’t know what the model name will be it was like that when I got my otterbox defender for the 11 pro max and now that I’m making the upgrade to the 13 pro max in a couple weeks I’m possibly getting that case

So the defender XT does come with a belt clip, but you have to request it upon ordering. It doesn’t come with it by default.

What if you like to put magnets inside the case so they won’t be showing outside, will it affect the wireless charging? 🤔

What do you mean? Why would you put magnets inside the case? The Defender XT already has magnets in it to be MagSafe compatible.

@@Warenotice just asking because I always put the magnet on the outside of the phone case because the phone holder in my car is a magnet one. But by doing that the back of my phone doesn’t look good because you can see the magnets. But if I put them inside the case it might not be strong to stick to the phone holder.

I purchased a defender XT for my iPhone 13 Pro Max, OtterBox is my go to case I very much like this case it did not come with a phone holder but in the box OtterBox will send you a free belt clip holder to hold your defender XT there is a code that you sent them, or call them with the code ,unfortunately I threw my box away but OtterBox is a standup company they still sent me a free belt clip holder thank you OtterBox👏🏾🔥🔥👍🏾🙏🏾.

I’ve noticed that it somewhat covers the top speaker cutout on the 13 Pro Max…does that interfere with the sound in anyway? Also, what’s the case that you actually use daily if I can ask? I’d love to have a one and done kind of deal for my new 13 Pro Max. Thank you for the great video, too!

The regular Defender case is much better. Not sure why they made the XT so much thinner. They could have just used bigger magnets. The holster is bad on both. I had to heat up the clip and re-adjust it to make it work correctly.

Looks like the XT case doesn’t have the slightly curved at the top and bottom to protect the screen maybe I’m wrong.

The XT case does not have the extra thick curves at the top and bottom on the screen side like the regular Defender case. But the Defender XT screen side lip is more than substantial even with a screen protector installed. No way it's going to fail on the screen side.

with magsafe stuck vertically on to a wall, is the magnet strong enough to hold the phone vertically suspended in the air? would like an off the desk charging station, so magsafe charger permanently mounted vertically on the wall. But dont want the phone to fall off it!

The new version for the 14 Pro looks more legit. The MagSafe looks professional this year. The sticker for the 13 Pro looks like a fake. They had time to design it better because the iPhone 12 introduced MagSafe. 🤷‍♂️

Apparently there’s a promo code in the box that get you one free. But they’re not available right now. So you have to put your name on the waitlist. I see that they come in and dribs and drabs and the reviews are pretty horrible. Apparently they just pop out. I’m not feeling real confident about this product.

@@oldfart1960 Yeah I have one as well, and it’s not too bad except if you look at it there’s only one way it can go in comfortably - and if you look at it where the camera lenses are you can see that it’s really not secured. I think once spring rolls around I’m gonna have to get a defender case like the old style that doesn’t have the mag safe just to get a more secure clip. I do a lot of yardwork and gardening and landscaping. Essentially it’s going to end up filthy and I can’t take a chance on it falling out.

The Defender Pro case I initially purchased does not have MagSafe built in. And the back side is silicone so no sticky stuff works on it.

Great video! Have you tried the Belkin MagSafe Car Mount with this Otterbox XT by chance? I’m wondering if the Otterbox MagSafe magnet strength is “as strong” in the car as an Apple branded silicone/leather MagSafe case. Thanks!

Good question! I've actually never reviewed or used one of those so I'm not sure haha! However OtterBox does make cases with a PopSocket built-in (here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4bOaKpti7t7r8U) and PopSocket does make a magnetic MagSafe PopSocket (here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZO9k4eDjax1ldU) that could be used with this case. Hope this helps!

I use the stretch slide with it a lot, it works but you do loose the MagSafe capabilities and it’s annoying to constantly take it off and pop it back on

New subscriber here! Thanks for letting me know that the XT case was thinner than the regular Defender case! I had no idea!🤯 Now I understand why some case companies are making their Defender-like cases thinner now. I ordered 4 off eBay for about $10/ea & couldn’t figure out why they were so thin all of a sudden!🤷🏽‍♀️ I should’ve known that it was for MagSafe compatibility.🤦🏽‍♀️😅
