I’ve been using the commuter for 5.5 years now! I had it for my s4, OnePlus three, now 7 plus, and soon the pro max! It's the perfect case, it has the perfect amount of protection and it is slim enough. No case comes close to it.

I like a holster with my case, which means the only available option is the Defender, which to me is a tad too bulky. If the symmetry came with a holster, that would be my choice.

The only problem with the Defender is the rubber skin will eventually loosen up over time and/or the flaps will wear out and break off, otherwise it is extremely protective, the Defender and a tempered glass protector is the best combination The loosening skin will not affect impact protection, but it’ll look ugly, and make inserting it in the pocket clip Speaking of the pocket clip, a common failure is the clip breaking off after a year or so, I’ve used otter box defenders since the 3s, and this has been a consistent design flaw. Otter box does have a great warranty though....

Clear back on the lumen scratches easy. Scratched on the first day in multiple different places. It does look nice. Really nice combination is the blue lumen with space gray iPhone. But yeah, clear back gets scuffed up easily. Gonna get a defender

I always get the defender case but one thing I do now is cut the bottom flap that covers the charging port. If you leave it, it will make that side of the rubber really loose because of the frequent pulling when charging the phone

I have a clear sparkly Symmetry case on my iPhone 11 and I’m in love with it. It’s not too bulky, shows off the beautiful purple color, and protects my phone. I’ve put a Pop Socket on there too (the Otter Pop is too high for me). The possible yellowing isn’t even a big deal because I get a new Otterbox about every year or so to mix up the design on my phone.

The Alpha Edge to Edge screen protector is available at OtterBox. Com and I bought the Edge to Edge for $59.99 . It’s expensive but it covers my new 11 iPhone pro Max from Edge to Edge as advertised !! I about love mine and installation was so easy. No bubbles at all. It’s expensive because the tempered glass is thick and it really is rated as the best of the best screen protectors on the market !! I highly suggest you try one !!

None work with gimbals... I have both the Osmo Mobile 3 and the Zhiyun Smooth Q2 and problem is that I use my iPhone 11 Pro Max - almost exclusively - as a Video/Camera (and keeping my iPhone 7 Plus... for... calls) Every skin I tried makes the device Too Thick to securely attach to the gimbals (which have no give where you need to secure the device for video) So, at this point, I’d be happy with a protector that I can EASILY slip the iPhone Max - in and out of - with major pulling and tugging which will expose the device to more wear and popping out of my hands...

I don't support company that is not shipping chargers along the box. I dont believe they are saving the planet, like really??So why they are selling charger separately? Apple sells that last Otterbox case ("the only Otterbox case Apple sells so they must like it"?) From a common-sense point of view, I would think that perhaps Apple likes it because it probably offers poor protection for your expensive Iphone 11Pro Max.
