The PTT switch itself have a tendency to break very quickly, avoid this style of speaker mic !

Are You sure this also is true for real Harris? I had Emerson (airsoft replica) and it indeed fail after some time - just like You described with broken PTT - so I switched for those. I was sure they are same as Harris and made up to mil spec?
