Wayne makes very nice models. Congrats on your purchase. The Otto Langen works a bit different than our current modern engine. The "power stroke" is actually after it fires and the piston and rack is on it's way down. As it fires and the rack piston go up, the clutch freewheels and as it comes back down, that is where the power is transferred to the flywheel. As a volunteer at Rough and Tumble in Kinzers PA , I've had plenty of time to watch their original Otto Langen in action. which fuel are you using? i think wayne is running on a mixture of H2 and acetylene.

Cool and is it a 4storke or 3 stroke or 2 stroke?

Basically I guess it would be considered 2 strike. One valve, does 5 things. It contains the explosions within the cylinder, directs exhaust gasses out, direct the intake air/ gas mixture in, acts as a fuel mixer, contains driver rod for Ignition switch.
