OMG, I didn't think about the cables. I should order new ones. Oh boy..........

I can't wait!!!!!! This car is sitting in my driveway. I'm just now getting prepped to do this top. My sitchoo is different. A building fell on the bug and the wooden bow in the rear got smashed. I'm cutting out a new one. The metal bows got squashed too but they are straight enough now. I gotta install the old top with a new headliner. I redid the bow pad differently though. I didn't like the version that was here so I made mine a little different. It's tailored. ...lol... My main concern is that rear window area. I've never done a convertible top on a bug before. This is different from American cars.

9:17 ... I'm cutting a new one out of a 2X6, I should have used a 2X12 but I didn't have that. I'll splice the ends after I get the horseshoe cut out.

@@musichistorynut The are some of the most beautiful of all the special editions. I have a '78 Champagne Edition I that needs top work.....very hard to find people who can do it anymore.
