Would you recommend u2x or u2 air pro? I heard there is an encoding sound lag for u2x. But I have both iPhone for myself and Android for my partner. :( had bad experience with headunits. Now I have a new car which only supports wired CP and wired AA

I've tested only u2 air pro, so wouldn't be able to comment on its difference from u2x.

In my understanding - yes, it does. If you car doesn't support AA or Carplay, consider one of the self-contained Head Units I've reviewed.

Does this device disconnect while travelling through automated toll readers?

I guess it does - and thank you - because I had no idea what causes an intermittent disconnection. It reconnects smoothly after, but I believe there is a disruption.

I haven't tried connecting two devices to test this, but can't imagine why not... MSXTTLY is a newcomer to the market, so time will tell how well the devices last when left in the car in heat, cold, etc. Ottocast has a more established presence and it's more time-proven, if this is any indication for you.
