welcome to Shenzhen。

Wonderful night time street life in Shenzhen! Makes our streets in Sydney, Australia look absolutely "dullsville" at night. Very envious of your stay in China where it is really a completely different world altogether to see the people enjoying life to the fullest in safety. Thanks for the video - through your eyes, I am traveling to those places that I am unable to due to health reason. Will be following your other videos for sure. What a pity we don't have "smell-o'-vision" which will really make your journeys come alive!

Interesting video. Pity you ddin't get time to spend a day in Macau, which you can walk to from Zhuhai-through customs etc. If you're going to go round Shenzhen, I'd recommend a bus trip to an ancient town called -'Nantou'. -For our last day in Shenzhen, my wife suggested and arranged a days’ bus tour, choosing what was called the ecological route, out of a total of 4 choices. We left about 9.00 and had a coffee and snack at McDonalds, across from the bus stop, but the bus didn’t come until about 10.00. We were first in the queue, so got the best seat, upstairs, at the front. There were several stops, but the one we favoured was an ancient village of Nantou, absorbed into the main city of Shenzhen, which was about halfway. The buses only passed every hour, but we chose to spend 2 hours here to also have lunch. It was a very interesting place, of old and narrow side streets, leading up to loads of nooks and crannies to explore, all well kept and some shops had chic decorations. We had a meal near the entrance and I had a version of Kung Po chicken and my wife had pork and rice. Then we passed through a food street, where I bought a large square of peanut brittle, which lasted for days.. It was an enjoyable 2 hours in a place busy with tourists, which all helps the local economy.

Don't you notice that although the buildings are magnificent but they never consider facilities for handicapped or elderly people.
@OTWD_yt29 күн бұрын
I have not noticed yet.
@FrankZhang-pj9nn28 күн бұрын
when you go to the train station, actually there are facilities for the elderly people or pregnant women or kids. because my father is 70 years old. he always used these facilities when he was in Shenzhen. people can take the helicopter elevator to the train directly just like VIP service. actually the public transportation like subway, bus, even most of GOV owned scenic sports in Shenzhen are free for the old people who are >60. if you take metro in Shenzhen, you will find out some cabins are pink color inside which mean these are left for women only.
@computer-ot8si28 күн бұрын
@@FrankZhang-pj9nn But if you live in Western countries, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Hongkong you will instantly notice the difference. There are hundreds of photos you can see that in China, they do it just for showing they get the job done and don't really consider whether it's practically useful and convenient at all. But what's worst, for most cases, no facility at all. For example, in Shenzhen, the office buildings always have elevated steps on ground floor without any consideration for wheelchair. If they really build a slope, then those delivery scooters will make use of it right away and obviously, that is not they wanted. Also you can always find design faults in toilet for handicapped person inside those office buildings.
@FrankZhang-pj9nn28 күн бұрын
@@computer-ot8si there is no perfect in any country, for most of buildings especially in Shenzhen we do have a slope, if they are occupied by the scooters, they are two different things, we are talking about whether these building has a slope or not, you mess them together. and you didn't mention in China for most of cities, the subway is connected with airport or railway station, it's very convenient and useful, but I didn't see this in lots of western countries. if you talk about Shenzhen, there are lots of bridges on the main street with the lift, it's very convenient for the old people or the people who carried the heavy equipment, I even didn't see them in Hongkong, Japan and Western countries. even you talk about the toilet, but you even didn't mention the public toilet in China is free, but in Western countries, you have to pay for them. do you think it's affordable for the low-income people?
@FrankZhang-pj9nn28 күн бұрын
@@computer-ot8si you talk about the toilet for handicapped person many times, obviously you knew little about Shenzhen, in most of office buildings especially CBD area they have the dedicated toilet for the handicapped person, but these toilets belong to each company in that building, they are private toilet, and you need the key to open, the building owner just rent every floor to the different company. and in the park of Shenzhen, you can also find the toilet for handicapped person. your view is through youtubers, but youtubers won't film these toilet for handicapped person, why should they film them? if you want to see these hiding details, you need come here to check by yourself. for the subway, I can say every subway station,100%they have helicopter elevator. yes, I said 100%. because the helicopter elevator can only hold 10 or less 20 persons, most people including youtubers never used them but doesn't mean they didn't exist.
