Those rocky sections of trail remind me of the trails we have here. Awesome views from the overlook. 16 miles in terrain like that you could use that shovel. LOL I usually shoot for about 10 miles in terrain like that. You are still doing great on day 2. Well done. Have a great day.

Sticking with 10 miles a day on the western side going east is sound advice for this trail for sure. I loved the history around the western part of this trail and it’s where a lot of the story in the book and movie True Grit takes place at although the scenes in the movie were shot in Colorado and California. Thanks for watching!✌️

Having some great weather and nice to complete before all the leaves come out and lose some of the views. Marvelous trekking!!

Wow, type 2, fun. Beautiful country though. The first 30 miles of that Trail has kicked a lot of younger hikes butt's, you guys are doing well. I have had my eye on several of the trails in eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas, but I really need to work on knee and ankle strength because I attempt any of them. Thank you for taking us along on n your adventures. Safe hiking.

Thank you! The OT eventually got me on day three with a fall though my knee did not swell until 24 hours later.
