Thank you for watching! Hopefully the forest service and LSHT volunteers can’t get the trail open by fall. Unfortunately the spring storms have caused havoc with the trail and national forest with much of both under a closed order.

Thoroughly enjoyed all the great DSNGRR scenery and especially the gorgeous views from the trail. The Weminuche is one of the most impressive wilderness areas in Colorado, IMHO. Thanks for the scenery and some good memories of the Weminuche. Prudent to bail ahead of that severe weather, we've all done it at one time or the other. I've enjoyed many summers since 2006 volunteering with the CTF and enjoyed every moment on the trail, even working on those segments that kicked my rear end. Good luck on your CT through hike this summer!

There is only two fee camping areas located in the LBJGL. TADRA and Valley View where you’ll pay to camp. Everything else is dispersed camping. You can camp anywhere unless there’s a no camping sign. Just be sure to practice Leave No Trace Principles.
