I'm late to the party but this was a great series. I have dealt with bone on bone for a while and it has kept me off the trail for way too long. Knee problems are debilitating and I hope yours doesn't get to where mine are. I really enjoyed this and miss Colorado. Funny story; I was sitting in the Bent Elbow about15 years ago and one of my neighbors, Billy Ray Hall and his wife Amanda walked in. They about fell out when I hollered their name. 900 miles from home to see people who lived just down the road. Maybe one day I can get all my issues fixed enough to hook up for a hike ✌

Isn't it crazy how much more conscious hikers are of our public land than people who abuse it like the folks leaving an unattended campfire? Sadly it's impossible to keep out the stupid people. I had been all over the grasslands and think I still have my forest service map but I don't remember that spot where you were on the 1st night. That's A nice campsite.
