They needed to fit in without raising any questions - the others would notice if their mayor had no idea what pancakes or cars or stoplights were. She was testing the strength of the curse. OUAT has a rule that says true love overcomes any curse. She brought Snow White to the hospital to see if their true love had survived the curse or if the memory wipe/change proved to be stronger. She wasn't trying to hurt Snow White, she was testing the limits of her curse.

As others said, testing the curse. But also just sheer meanness, to enjoy watching David and Snow unaware of each other, their love drowned. Regina is very petty and childish at this point.

It shows a newspaper at some point if I remember correctly, and it could have technically started at either 8pm or 8am. The curse does start to come into our world at night as we see in this episode but its possible it took hours to build everything so it could have started in the am

There are two crossover fanfics between this saga and "OUAT" (I'm surprised there aren't like hundreds of them). Sora, Kairie and Riku's story was that Kairie was the princess of a kingdom in the Enchanted Forest that swore to protect the world of light, Sora was her Keyblade knight, and Riku was simply a knight. The Dark Curse separated the three of them and made Sora and Riku enemies, Kairie's fate kinda unknown. Why am I talking about this ? Ever since I read them and played "Nirvana Initiative", I have been thinking. What if the worlds'saga is meant to suffer a complete reset "Dark Curse" style ? For a new world to be born ? I guess, like Kirari and Yumeko from "Kagegurui", I want to see the universe come to its flashy end, to see its rebirth and what comes out of it. Actually...I don't think this is something recent. Ever since the first game, when Ansem talked about death, that I could only wonder how this universe's hidden side is ? What lies beyond lign and darkness ? What happens when the light separating them evaporates ? What is left ? Will the dead rise ? Will people be reborn ? The possibilities are endless. And all it takes is someone to perform the heart surgery without being manipulated by neither the power nor the characters.

Essentially yes, I imagine things changed with the seasons/holidays but generally everybody followed the exact same routines. Then once Henry came to town peoples routine would have changed around him (such as his school classes and therapy for example) and then finally when Emma came to town and the curse weakened people started to have free will again

Kinda, most people in the town were probably handpicked by her since she brought people from other lands too like Jefferson who was in Wonderland and Dr. Frankenstein. I suppose she just choose some random villagers to fill the background of the town

@@JabamiLain No, it's not! Storybrooke is just half of the Enchanted Forest, Arendelle, Dunbroch, Agrabah and Camelot are all in the Fairy Tale Land and weren't taken by the curse, neither Oz, Wonderland or Neverland btw

The geography of ouat is very inconsistent. The best I can work it out is the enchanted forest is a small island country but still big enough to have multiple regions with different royal families (maybe like the UK). Then there are areas like camelot and arandelle which are part of the same world but different countries and that's why they were not affected by the curse - because there were too far away. And finally we have places such as wonderland and the Land of untold stories which are different worlds entirely and require magic portals get to

I’m confused maybe someone can help me understand this.....so if Regina brought everyone to a so called “land without magic” than how did story Brooke get there? Technically any magic shouldn’t have been able to create a whole town in the real world. But I would like to think that actually it’s a land with the potential to have magic? Thoughts?

I think it was Zelena who said that she doesn't just go to a place without magic with no imported magic of her own. So magical objects, potions kinda work even though there's no magic. I guess that's just what this curse does. Kinda like if you use a magic bean it can open a portal in a world without magic. I think the price of the curse is high and I guess it does the trick.

The curse allowed magic into our world temporarily to create the town and bring everybody over. Once it was finished there was no more except for in any enchanted items (kept in Regina's vault and maybe runples store).
