When comparing the two we are looking at
Smell - Oud Muattar has an oudy smell enhanced by the fragrance you prefer (here Pink Musk from Hind Al Oud) while Bahkoor has more of the flavors of all blended ingredients.
Smoke - You can tell the difference between the 2, Bahkoor makes lots of smoke and that’s why is perfect for the house (after cooking, before family gatherings, after eating etc); while the Oud Muattar is more preferred for the clothes but not only, I personally use it for the house too.
Notice : most probably you have to remove the Bahkoor after few minutes to avoid a burnt smell, Oud Muattar can be left as much as you desire
Performance
In terms of longevity of smell, both are great. I prefer personally the Oud Muattar because of the oudy vibes to it, but it’s always great to have a good Bahkoor to burn after cooking

Hi, when is best to use an electric bukhoor burner, wouldn’t it burn the oud ? For example the oud muattar one ?

Hi, you can use electric one for anything you like but if you use it for dohkoon, I don’t advice you to use it after for oud chips (specially the expensive ones) because the smell of the fragrant oil will stay no matter how much you will try to clean it

I prefer natural Oud chips for everything but they are also coming with a price tag, so normally for hair or clothes if your budget allows of course it’s nicer. Otherwise you can find lots of good quality options soaked in perfume oils

So , when im using pure natural agarwood chips on charcoal ( not magic /easily ignitable coal) after a layer of ash has been formed like in 30 minutes , im still getting that burnt charcoal like smell . when im using a coin or a little aluminium foil over the top its giving no burnt charcoal like aroma but the beautiful nuances of oud.. however the smoke isnt as powerful and i dont think it doesnt get hot enough to burn the remaining resin in the chip and because of this it wouldnt be appropriate for fumigation of clothes? . can you please help on this ? before i finish all my beloved chips in vain haha.

Honestly I prefer natural Oud chips over anything. But I have to choose Oud muattar I will choose from Hind Al Oud (Pink Smoke is amazing and Ahojas). There are also some others from Kuwait that are quite good in quality too
