Oud tuning for Persian/Iranian music

I tried to measure the oud with tape and my phone (app) and said my string length was around 59 to 60 something. My oud is Turkish and standard ones are 58.5 should I be concerned? I feel like I might’ve been scammed the when I played it it sounded resonant and beautiful (plucked one string only 😅) I might let the luthier test it out once he fixes the crack maybe play some tunes like Üsküdara gideriken or maybe salouny el nas or something of that sort hopefully in front of me so I can assess the quality of the sound maybe play a taqsim if he knows though I’ll err on the side of caution. I hate being alone in this anyone from the UK whose played the oud for 2-3+ years? I would really like your advice as I’m just starting out 😢(learnt two rhythms)

Don't worry about the length of the Oud. It's longer length that you need only be concerned about tuning too high. For shorter ouds, they can take any tuning provided you use the proper strings set.
