It's time talk about our most wanted PS5 games. With all the incredible reveals from the recent State of Play and Summer Game Fest, this episode of the PlayStation Access Podcast features the gang sharing all the titles they simply cannot wait to get their hands on.
There are many amazing new PS5 games on the way - we struggled to keep this list to just 10! Each member of the team discusses two titles they are excited for, with a couple thrown in that they all wanted to chat about.

Having grown up in the 80's (born in '74) in the States let me just say ... ... ... It was AWESOME!! We got to experience so many firsts in personal tech. Home video games, home computer, cable TV , MTv, cell phones, video recorders, WalkMan, just to name a few. The 80's was the Best decade hands down.

MGSD ❤ MGS3 is one of my favourite games, and I nearly didn’t finish it. I only played about half of it at most and for reasons I can’t remember I stopped and never went back to it, until a few days before the release of PS3. I had 2 weeks off work, a week before PS3’s release and a week after. I had a PS3 pre ordered and I was talking to my cousin about how hyped we both were for PS3. We were talking about our favourite games on PS2 when my cousin mentioned MGS3. I told him I didn’t even finish it and he told me I should play and finish it in the week I had off work before PS3 time. I did play it, I restarted and finished it and loved it. Couldn’t work out why I didn’t finish it 1st time 🤷‍♂️

I agree with you on Outlaws Dave, being a scrappy, yet ultimately mundane maverick in that time period of the SW universe is appealing indeed. You need to watch Andor, my favourite Star Wars writing ever realised, it's so grey, so poignant, absolutely awesome!

Closest Star Wars game I can think of to outlaws is probably Shadows of the Empire where you play as Dash Rendar. Not an open world but he’s just a smuggler with a blaster and his own Corellian YT-2400 ship (looks similar to the falcon too) great game!

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero for me, October can't come soon enough. I've been playing Dragon Ball games since Budokai 1 on GameCube and Budokai Tenkiachi was my favorite gameplay wise, I'm just so happy this is actually happening

17:55 for me it would have been an open world mandalorian game. I‘ve said it ever since i saw the show. Never really cared for a star wars game, quit fallen order about half way through and am not that big into most open world games, but an open world mandalorian game would be sick. I'm a long time Dragon Age fan and personally I am punped for The Veilguard! The community at large has been pretty mixed however. Every game is SO different which has created a few schisms

As I don't have a PS5 yet (want to catch up on Vita and PS4 Games before I get a new console) I don't really keep up with upcoming games unless they are part of a series I am already into. So yeah, MGS Delta is the one I am most excited about. I have planned to get a PS5 the moment MGS is released - but now I'm considering pre-ordering MGS before I even bother about a PS5. Maybe the deluxe edition - or the collectors edition if one will even be available in Europe. Until it's released there still is more than enough time to get a PS5 anyways. The other game I am looking forward to is Dragon Age - however I had merely a day to feel excited about that before I saw more news about MGS, then Dragon Age was quickly shoved aside again because I had something more important to be excited about. 😅

Rob, remember how you could buy a PS1 disc and there would be a few demos on it as well? How about a Compilation Disc of PS1 & eventually PS2 remasters? Kind of like the Atari or Capcom collections available on PSN (shameless plug) We have the Compression, We have the Library, We can rebuild them. Stronger graphics, Faster Load Screens, Shadowman, Dart and Lara; no longer cubed out polygons. Colony Wars, Myst and Legend of Dragoon ON ONE DISC! 100s of $$$ Millions Day One. Ooo bring THAT back too. "Day One" events. Let's crash some servers man!

Maybe I'm just old but I think gaming has reached its pinnacle (other than Outlaws) and is starting to decline in imagination. We'll start to see remakes of everything just like Hollywood is doing. I think 2025 will be better: Crimson Desert, Wolverine, Death Stranding 2, Dune.
