1.Subframe connectors are a must with the power you have. 2. Front end alignment shop can do it faster and definitely better than eyeballing it. 3. Headlights are killer, love em. 4. Definitely finish on camera, everyone loves this old school retro mod build. 5. You guys and your family are much loved and appreciated.

I hope you guys see this sometimes I wonder I owned a 67 Camaro and I am a GM guy and what you really should do is you can buy subframe connectors that are either weld in or Bolt in would advise it to stiffen up that chassis You wouldn't have to worry anymore when you put it on the lift it makes it one big frame not expensive either

I would like to see the process of addressing all the small issues before moving on to a new project. These are the things in projects that you can learn from. Not everything works right the first time and the troubleshooting process is always more interesting than something that just bolts together.

Few things I would HIGHLY recommend. First is subframe connectors on my 67 camaro I went with Ridetech they’re fully bolt on will stop that flex when u lift the car on your rack. Instead of a brake booster I’d look at CCPs hydro boost. They sell a full bolt on and lines it saves a lot of room in the engine bay and looks clean. Again used it on my 67 and I have the same brake set up as you and it’s amazing. Lastly I’d recommend doing RideTech full front suspension along with their truturn system it’s amazing and you can fit up to a 10” wide rim WITH the factory subframe. Again have that on my 67 and it handles like it’s on rails. Plus they have awesome true coil overs and with their hole suspension with the truturn your steering will be insanely tight and it’s fully adjustable.

I think you’re getting a warning and regulated throttle because the ZL1 ecu isn’t reading the stock struts for electronic dampening. They make plug and play electronic dampening delete modules that plug into the stock harness by all 4 wheels or you could probably code it out without using any additional hardware. Thinks a beast. Good work guys!

Without a doubt this is my favorite build on the channel. Probably doesn't hurt that the '67 was my dream car as a kid. It's the first car I ever fell in love with. I remember seeing one for the first time on a trip to the local chevy dealer with my grandpa. Just hanging with my grandpa was pretty cool, but seeing that car for the first time was an experience I will never forget. They had a candy apple red '67 all chromed out under the hood and undercarriage with mirrors on the ground to display the chrome. It was one of the most beautiful things I had ever seen at 7 or 8 years old that was around '79 or '80. I don't remember the exact year but I will never forget the car.

Good list you got there. I'd also suggest some Race Seats, 4 point harness, line lock, some additional front bracing, like monte carlo bar or strut tower bar just to keep that flexing down a bit. The old car does not have the modern safety goodies so make sure you take the time to sort out the safety items before getting too crazy. Getting all the cosmetics will help - matching wheels, door handles chrome or no chrome and adding the classic Camaro scripts to fill those holes in your fender.

I love how your Dad is still there. As one of the crew. Maybe do a old Truck Not. Rat rod or anything just a nice old truck with some "OEM" new parts. Maybe put a voodoo engine in a old Ford truck.

I owned a 69 Camaro V6 in high school. I payed $3000 used. It was 13 yrs old when I bought it in good condition. It only needed a new ac and I had it installed and am/fm stereo with cd and 4 speakers

As far as suspension and brakes and steering goes id look at ridetech they have complete bolt in suspension kits for these cars Coilovers, 4links, Air ride, gearboxes etc.. They can definitely get all of your suspension issues sorted.

Really enjoy your videos ! You guys never disappoint. I don't know what the vehicle laws are in TN, but it's nice to see you can do an engine swap like that in your state. Making me want to move there 😀. I'm guessing around 60 k , you spent on that build. Don't know what you paid for the car at auction. Seriously you should go get a truck or 70's car from the junk yard and see if you can bring back to it's "glory". That would be a bigger challenge for you two, because right now you just seem to be throwing money at these projects. Right now you have the tools and facilities ,where you don't have to spend that much on parts or shop work. I would really like to see you guys go find a classic junked car and restore it. Maybe a 70's or early 80's ( like 80-82). I'm really looking forward to the paint booth build. Keep up the good work!

Back in 1967, these cars were not built with 700 hp in mind the stock motors only put out 290 - 350 hp depending on what you did with it. the sub frame needs to be reinforced so that the flexing will minimize. I had a 1969 with the 302. It had 375 hp angle plug aluminum heads. Was a very rare motor.

On y'all's suspension, Detroit Speed has a front end kit that would help with the issues up front, that also have subframe connectors, and on the rear a 4 link would help with the back end staying put.

I tightened up my steering box yesterday. My Buick factory manual (should be the same unit almost as yours) specs that you gotta yeet your pitman arm and shove a torque wrench on your steering wheel to check tightness. If it's too tight it'll feel wrong and you'll have no spring back when driving down the road among other more serious mechanical issues. Be sure to redo it to spec later. Not a big deal since steering racks are cheap though.

To stop the frame from flexing as much you should upgrade the subframe bushings from rubber to Poly or even solid mounts. Aswell as subframe connectors to connect the subframe to the rear frame rails and you will see almost 0 flex on/off the lift and will handle SO much better.

You boys should get a "Goonzquad" 3d printed (when u get your console printed) and put it on the front fenders where the original "Camarro" log normally I seats right I front of the doors on the fenders. Just a personal touch and it'd look awesome 👌 👏 Not to mention, it'd take care of those insert holes that r currently there without having to weld ,fill, sand and repaint them. Just a thought.

You need to check the Subframe Bushings, car has to much flex considering it already has Frame connectors installed, Also check and make sure the Subframe is square, most manuals give you the specs and measurements. Had to do this with my 70 RS which had good welded subframe connectors.

I agree with that one guy who mention about those sun frame support . They were first been use in drag racing because the body would twist under torque and when you pull the front wheels off the ground. Plus I think that steering wheel is to small . I ‘ll say you have close to $65,000 in it.

It’s called wire loom (sleeve) guys makes me miss my 74 z28 so bad fell on hard times and had to sell it about 15 years ago miss that car so much had the original 396 in it before they guy sold it to me but he took it out and and swapped motors in his 69 Camaro but the 350 he put in it was pushing about 450 to rear tires and had the 4” caw hood and was the exact same blue as that one 😢 high rise intake 650 Holley carb MSD ignition griffin racing radiator full flow master exhaust and headers dart aluminum heads with a mother thumper cam. Timing chain converted to gears roller rockers turbo 350 trans… and mine had the B&M T handle slap shifter lol
