This was quite possibly the most fun day I've ever had with Jack! We're so happy to be back with Sarah and Sunny though

Before you said anything I thought to myself that Jack should try out for the Olympics one day, and it's great that if Jack wants to do it you will support him all the way and if he's not interested in snow boarding then you won't push him. Such a brave soul to take a 2 year old on a plane by yourself and Jack is so well behaved. I love his little joyful jumps. I just saw the video of your TBI story and I posted this comment there, but you did that a year ago, so I am posting it here for you. I hope this helps. Thank you for sharing your story. I received a TBI from an assault during a home invasion. For years I didn't understand what was wrong with me. I couldn't remember things. I couldn't do some of the things I had done before. It's like I wasn't able learn new information. I forgot a lot of my past. I had all kinds of scans and tests done and they said everything was "normal". I got to the point where I didn't want to be around other people because socializing was too hard. Things got worse. About 5 years later my counselor realized that I needed to see a SPEECH THERAPIST which can test memory and pinpoint what exactly was going on. THAT'S when my life started getting better. I went through YEARS of learning how to use strategies to learn and improve my memory. When scans come back normal, doctors are looking for abnormalities in the brain, they can't see a memory loss on the scans. Go to an OCCUPATIONAL or SPEECH THERAPIST and they will make an assessment and help you with the brain fog and all the other stuff that's going on. Doctors aren't trained in this area. If this helps you give me a thumbs up and when I get to my computer I'll post some support groups that are online through ZOOM. The first time I went to the groups I cried because I finally heard other people that could relate to EXACTLY what I was going through and I didn't have to explain myself. The slow speech is one of them. When we get tired we can't process things as well and we talk slower and forget words or what we were saying. Let me know if you want this information, ok?
