@@JaysonBailey Football is a team sport and therefore if your defence is all over the place due to injuries you can’t build up from the back or play a high line meaning you can’t press as a team properly. Last season there were massive gaps due to playing 4th/5th choice defenders and midfielders in defence who lacked pace. It’s highly likely United won’t have anywhere near as many injuries this coming season and will improve massively. They’ve looked good in pre season and the community shield so I back them for top 4. 22:18 This is why you people just need to stop talking about Chelsea. You have absolutely no clue what you’re talking about. The players Chelsea are signing are on very low wages. @JaysonBailey2 ай бұрын
Seriously.
@dddgtsd2 ай бұрын
I mean it's easy to bring the average down when you make a squad of like 45 players - the average wage is close to 80/90k and the overall wage which is more important is 3.5m second highest in the league when the team is by no means the second best in the league - I don't think the wage bill is Chelsea's biggest concern but you can skew things a bit depending on your bias. Man Utd are a joke when it comes to wages though, agree with you on that.
@dddgtsd2 ай бұрын
I don' think there is any doubt the players you're signing are talented and not on huge wages, yes the fees are quite high for what are essentially development projects but that's the philosophy the club is going for. My only worry is how the players are developed and managed - hard to develop young players when the first team is a bit all over the place and management changes quite frequently. If they get put out on good loan moves or get given decent game time then they could definitely develop them into top players, you have to think of say 10 wonderkid signings, 2 or 3 should turn out as first teamers and the others can make a bit of money perhaps. It's risky when you don't have the basics in place though is my only concern but Chelsea have always had a similar policy just maybe a bit more low key and focused around the under19s/21s.

As a Chelsea fan, I’m more than happy to accept criticism on how the club is run in certain aspects. For example, the Gallagher situation has been handled terribly. However, the lack of research on contracts is pretty annoying. They’re signed on long deals for amortisation purposes. Also, bonuses are implemented in the contracts based on performances. Palmer was already on a long contract but received a pay increase and signed an additional 2 years. They’ve introduced this format to remove the previous regime of paying players on incredibly high wages. I.e., Lukaku on 325k a week

villa fan happy with any position that gives Europe. which could be up to 8th. A nice run in UCL or a cup run. All good. just wana keep European football going. Be nice to win conference or Europa in the next year or two. Happy with any of it. But would be good to put our foot down and finish 4th again. We also handled Europe well alst season, so the extra games dont worry me, but what does is, we need to put a fully strong team out in champions league, and either side of those games i think we play a lot of the top teams in the prem, so will need our best players playing those games too. Where as with the conference league, we could field slightly changed up teams in the earlier rounds.

May be a crazy shout but my dark horses are Everton and forest I really think both will get going and could finish mid table they both have the squads and the managers people may wobble abit with Nuno but he has experience and a very good squad with some more additions sosa etc on the way also I think Everton have the squad anyway I personally like Sean dyche as a manager aswell
