I knew I was going to be sad about the Josh Lowe tier, then I thought he was about to go to the B tier with how glowingly Jake talked about him, then I was sad again. 129 OPS+, 20 homers and 32 steals, .292 average last year at 25. Advanced stats don’t love his fielding but he’s rarely credited with errors and can absolutely slide over to center and I feel pretty secure with him anywhere in the outfield. Dude can mash, he’s quick, and (barring the current injury) he’s a great everyday player already and was one of the big reasons for the success of that lineup
@Carlos-uf8so5 ай бұрын
Dude doesn't get to hit lefties though. Biggest gripe about the Wildcard last year was that a guy batting .290 had to sit Game 1 of three game series
@JaretDawson5 ай бұрын
@@Carlos-uf8so That's fair, though theoretically if he's sitting the entire rest of the lineup should have a better matchup since he's one of the few lefty bats on the roster. He still got over 500 PAs on the season so it wasn't incredibly limiting. I do think sometimes the Rays get too cute with platoons, but it's obviously worked. They mostly beat themselves in those games though with mental errors and Jordan Montgomery existed in game 1, plus several guys missed time late in the season and came back just in time for the playoffs and were not in any kind of groove
