Hi Sherwin! My partner and I decided to do Christmas abroad this year. We splurged on the new Park Hyatt River Thames in London - we will be there for 4 nights (Dec 22-26). We've never spent Christmas in a hotel before and being able to apply your GOH certificate would take our Christmas trip to the next level! I've never had Hyatt status and I would love to get a taste of what it would be like at this beautiful new hotel! The benefits I look most forward to would be the breakfast at this property. I hear that the food is incredible and I would love to be able to dine there each morning without breaking the bank.

The benefit I would look most forward too is access to the free breakfast and club lounge access, as well as the waived parking fee. There IS a use case for high-tier status in oneworld: not all airlines offer first class (and the ones that do may not have it on every flight [cough, AA, cough]). So, for example, having Qatar Platinum for a trip to the Maldives in Qsuites would get you access to Al Safwa. Or, if you’re flying AA Flagship Business from JFK/LAX/DFW/MIA on miles, oneworld emerald will get you access to the first class check-in facilities and lounges.

At the end of every year, some of the airlines and hotels offer a quick path to status for flying on specific dates or staying at a hotel for a specific number of days consecutively. Usually the quick path to status is offered to people who already have a low level status, to help upgraded them to a higher level status.

I’ve always been a Marriott loyalist, so I’ve never had Hyatt status before. However, I just booked a 6-night stay at the Grand Hyatt Manila, where I’m bringing my partner to meet my family for the first time. While an upgrade would be fantastic, I’m most excited to use a Guest of Honor award to access the Club Lounge. I’ve heard the lounges in Asia are on a whole different level-much better than those in the U.S.!

I’ve never really had hotel status until recently thanks to credit cards but it definitely is superior. I’d love a GOH cert to use on my anniversary trip with my wife! We’re going to Asia and would use it at park Hyatt Kyoto for 4 nights. The breakfast benefit would save us a ton of money and make the stay free as we’re using points. Wouldn’t complain about a suite upgrade though!

Sherwin, I'd love to be considered for the GOH cert. Like you, times are busy with my family, however we live in the Phoenix area which has great resorts, so many great places for staycations! I have reserved a stay at the Grand Hyatt Scottsdale starting 11/28/24 of this year for a family retreat, it's an opportunity for us to plan next year (what we want to work on and our goals for the year). I’d love to be able to use a GOH cert for a staycation there, it just underwent a $110 million renovation and transition from HR to GH and there's not a lot of info of what the new location is like online, since it just finished last month. I'd come back here and post a comment with a review. I'm specifically looking forward to the globalist breakfast and the cost savings that globalist offers (resort fee and parking will be close to $100 a night, yikes!) Thanks!

Sherwin, I'm interested in the GOH certificate! 1. I would be using the GOH certificate at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki. I am using my Hyatt points to book this for my parents. 2. Although I will be staying at a different hotel, I would benefit from the free parking in Waikiki, hopefully get an upgraded room facing the ocean for them, as well as keep my parents fed with the breakfast benefit, keeping me free so that I can go visit my friends, since I used to live there during the pandemic.

We are staying at the Hyatt Regency in Okinawa, the Hyatt Regency Seragaki Island, and the Grand Hyatt in Tokyo. We have never experienced the club level perks and would really like to. My wife, 2 year old child, and I are currently in Thailand as I watch this podcast from a bus returning from a snorkeling experience at the Phi Phi islands. I love your guys show and have seen them all. I’m 6 stays away from Marriott Titanium but really want to dip my feet in that sweat sweat Hyatt pool you guys talk about. We are set to stay at the Hyatt Place in Bangkok next week. If I got that cert though I’d be upgrading to the Regency or the Park Hyatt for sure! I’d love to experience the breakfast and/or a sweat in one of those locations. There would be a very high chance of an upgrade I think in Bangkok. My son just turned 2 three days ago guys and an upgrade like that to show the in-laws a great time would mean the world!

Great podcast. I have stayed at multiple Hyatt’s on cash and they were probably the worst stays I have ever had (sans San Antonio Thompson; phenomenal stay). I follow you guys and multiple other content creators to learn about miles and points and everyone raves over Hyatt and their program, but I won’t willingly ever give them my business. I travel a lot for business and stay exclusively at Hilton properties (Aspire cardholder) and love the treatment every single time whether I am staying for business or for leisure. I have gotten upgraded more times than not. Looks like I’ll reach Star Alliance Gold this year so excited for that.
