Nice! But i‘ve got another one from the last two bars of the A-section of „I hear a rhapsody“ which I like the sound of: Fm-7, Abm-7, Bm-7, Bb7 to Eb

I'm just wondering if the Coltrane/PM pretty is C/Eb/Ab/B/E how do we resolve those 5 into 2 or 4 bars?

Bonus for Nola turnaround was great. Do you have a Nola focus lesson pack on OS for more of those ideas? Perhaps a dr John prof longhair Allen toussaint emphasis?

Love it -but you you guys are starting to write tunes and not turn arounds. LOL. You did not mention doing the Coltrane/Slonimsky turn around in C. Getting to the last 2 bars of the 1st A section of an AABA song. Dm7/// G7/// now instead of C/ A7/ Dm/ G7/ You use AbMaj7/ B7/ EMaj7/ G7/. Assuming you are going back to C

It's a common ending, not a turnaround. Most commonly called the flat five ending.

Isn't "Can't Help It" by MJ (Stevie) bII#11(13) -> Imaj9 ??? You are playing it like two 7sus4 chords in a row. Am I missing something? Is there some inversion trickery going on there?

Thought you guys were cool. But I’m hearing a lot of condescension lately. Some cats that aren’t pure jazzers still love music and are out there trying to do their best at the Ramada Inn North…making music. And the lam session concept of jazz cats just trying to lord their purism over other cats is just ugly. Versus making and loving the music.
