Man, years later. I still get choked up at this moment😭💙. Its so good, and you can tell Asahi was really struggling with his self esteem. It sucks getting shut down all the time, so his self esteem got totally destroyed as a result. He just needed a good kick in the butt to get back into playing again from his besties❤

I’ve watched through this show many times now, and the first few times this episode didn’t do much emotionally to me. But more and more it’s becoming one of my favorites. In fact that whole sequence with Asahi jumping with everyone behind him and blasting through the block is probably in my top 5 haikyuu moments nowadays.

At some point or another, each and every one of us possesses an Asahi character within us. Our ability to do our best for the rest is something that those you care about rely on. One that you don't want to let them down, but you keep failing at it, and it's pushed you to the point where you're on the verge of giving up. This Asahi (Noya/Suga) moment is one of the best of this 1st season. Just one of the best can't wait to see you finish it and have your thought. Many consider Haikyuu as one of the best if note the best sport anime.
