After working hard all day, the family goes off on a dusk hike into the woods to try and find the trial cameras that under a couple feet of snow anthey were 3' off the ground, plus is -8 or -10 when it got dark. Slogging though feet of snow on snow shoes just to have a hike and see how gloriously beautiful itnall its brilliance. Just magnificent! You are blessed to be so close to one of Gods greatest works of art and you are adding to in with your family building additions and improvements. What a year it has been for all of you. Graciousness, gratitude and especially generosity run strong in you family. Three of the most difficult yet coveted good character attributes to have and hold dear and more importantly required for success are your stock and trade. I am so happy that you share you lives and family with the rest of us. Now we are blessed. Merry Christmas!

My last trip to Alaska was three years ago and until the final day, the high temp was -15. While there we made ice candles. You take 5-galon buckets and fill them with water. Set them outside and check on them periodically breaking and removing the ice on top. Once the ice on the sides is 1 1/2 inches thick you pour out the remaining water and take them inside until they will slide out of the bucket. These look like magical crystal cylinders. Place them on the porch and walk with a candle inside and the entire thing glows beautifully. This works great whenever the temps are below freezing for several days.

My favorite part of this video, Justin whipping out the tape measure to measure the snow 🥶🤣. Your hike is coming along beautifully. I respect the hard work even in the frigid temperatures. Sadly we didn't get very much snow, but our windchill is currently negative 33°. I think more snow would have made the temperature more acceptable🤣. Also, I loved the music in the video.🎅🤶

"One Day at a Time" we sang this at every Hymn Sing we gave, "Why Me Lord","Woman at the Well" and a few standard ones as well. So many Beautiful Songs from the 60's and 70's "The Little Boy From the Carpenter Shop" our street Ministry started with an old City Bus in a notorious gang (Biker) area in one town on Fridays and Saturdays. We had an old house donated in another ruff area of another town. We had it open on Friday's, Saturdays, and Sunday afternoon's. The House was 'The Carpenters Shop' a lot of teens and pre-teens were helped as well as the Adults young and old. There was Music everywhere, with non-judgmental safe haven for all. It helped get a lot of people off the streets and introduced to the Wonderful Healing Power of Christ's Blood. I was lucky to be a teen Counselor and had the opportunity to sing with many Bands at many Billy Graham, and Oral Robert's Crusades. As well as with other great Groups so many Beautiful Groups of God's Crusaders and on fire Ministry. That snow must be heavy on the roof. Can you show us (every few blogs maybe) if the logs are 'sinking' down and settling? You showed us how you were making allowance for this in the build.
