Japan is a foodie paradise indeed ! We are fortunate to have 2 good Japanese restaurants near us. Enjoy.
Love gyudon! It's my husband's favorite! I make it at home all the time. When we lived in Japan we always went to Matsuya

Since day one I’ve enjoying this channel 😊 The reason is simple , のびのびと大きくなってるジョシュア君、サラちゃん、アンナさん、ベッカさんそして超素敵なママさんパパさん貴方達のピュアな笑顔が私はもちろんたくさんの方達にも笑顔にしてくれてるからです〜😊😊😊😊 A Japanese old man from California.
I'm japanese! Thank you so much for your great videos. I love them. YOSHINOYA use American beef products!(and Canada and Australia)

That was during the Mad Cow disease epidemic that happened in the US in the early 2000’s and Japan health customs found traces of the disease in some frozen US beef imports. Japan was forced to ban US beef for 2 to 3 years (also Canada). Sukiya and Matsuya were forced to import beef from Australia. Yoshinoya, I believe had an exclusive contract to use only US beef for all its restaurants, so they are not allowed to buy beef from other countries. Yoshinoya switched to using pork in their rice bowls to get around the legality and the monetary lost during it’s business. Ps. McDonalds and Burger King in Asia are already sourcing their frozen patties mostly from Australia even before the beef sanction, so they were not that affected.

Our family has an ongoing dispute about which gyudon is better: Yoshinoya vs Matsuya vs Sukiya.... No consensus yet, but it is great to feed our family of 7 for less than $30! We make regular gyudon at home all the time, but the kids love the varieties available when we are in Japan. Try topping it with shichimi and pickled daikon!

5:00 日本の早口言葉の内容です。 This is the content of Japanese fast words 裏庭(URANIWA)には(NIWA)=In the backyard 2羽(NIWA)=2 birds ニワトリ🐓(NIWATORI)がいる(GAIRU)=There is a chicken🐓
Seasoning Japanese food is not that difficult. In many cases, you just mix equal parts of sugar, soy sauce, sake, mirin, and concentrated soup(called dashi or men-tsuyu). However, if you find it too salty, one way to adjust is to double the amount of sake. Give making gyudon a try!

I live in Thailand and my 5 years old daughter loves to go to Yoshinoya recently. And most of the time we spend about ¥2700 for three of us. Personally, I prefer to go to Matsuya a little bit more, but Yoshinoya is good for us though.

@goldmannschannel55382 ай бұрын
@@LIJ Definitely, but I guess the shorter version, which mentions only the backyard part and skips the front yard one, is much more popular among older generations including me, so some people may think she repeated "niwa niwa" too much.
Had gyudon both in the States and Japan. Personally I love the raw egg and rice in Japan. But the States, proportion is what matters 😂

Yoshinoya gyudon to go is pretty lacking for some reason. It’s amazingly delicious at the restaurant, though. You might want to try morning specials (my favorite is Matsuya). They’re insanely cheap!
If I want to take my time eating at a beef bowl chain restaurant, I order takeaway. I like Yoshinoya for its taste, but Sukiya is better for meat quality. I don't get enough vitamins, so it's good to buy salads at convenience stores. Personally, when it comes to rice bowls, I think you can't go wrong with a restaurant that serves delicious katsudon.

Yoshinoya's gyu-don beef meat is made in the US. Yoshinoya never uses Japanese beef, other contrie's beef, just uses US beef. This is yoshinoya's policy and tradition.😊

You can find many instructions on how to make Yoshinoya style beef bowl on You Tube. A Korean seasoning called “Dashida” is inexpensive(100g, about 200 yen) and usually sold in supermarkets.Using it will give it a Yoshinoya-style flavor. I made it too, and it tasted very similar.
