Much thanks. If you ever re-do this video, recommend that you point out early in the video that using old ceramic spray coating instead of water or quick detailing spray as the lubricant uses the heat from the friction of the polishing to embed ceramic into the headlight lens.

Great video as always. I wish I would have used this method when I use to buff with 3M and Norton compounds on paint.i think it would have kept those products from flashing off and drying in patches on the surface

Well garsh, I have returned ‼️ Been awhile (years) since I 've watched or commented. In fact I remember the old video of headlights, and the 303 hack for rubber (did my trimming belt,, and yes it's still running strong at 325,000) you were still in Michigan. Coming down ST. Yeah, that’s pretty smart-the polishing compound plus the ceramic protectant turn into a fresh layer of unoxidized plastic on top of the original, and it’ll probably stay clear for longer. All it needs now is some UV protection

How do you know when to stop adding the Mothers and ceramic spray and then buff it off? Also-- how long does this last? I've used just the Mothers before but after a month or two the headlights are dull again.

Crimini, I just realized I said I have two mothers hahaha Not the same machinery, mines an orbital which will probably go slower and be more forgiving. No because they are too smooth now, you would have to stop before 1500 grit or less sandpaper for the new clear to adhere properly, and not all clear coats are the same unfortunately as well

Looks like you are using the slow speed 0-2800 rpm setting on the polisher. I thought the higher speed 0-8300 rpm might be useful for burnishing in the ceramic coating with the wool pad. Can this method be done with a cordless drill?
