Firstly, CONGRATULATIONS! Women today are prone to say to their husbands, “I couldn’t have done it without you”! And while this is a very sweet sentiment as a mother and a grandmother of four and a great grandmother of four, I am here to tell you that you definitely could and would do it without anyone just as most of my peers did it in the day. Back in the day. Because there is no choice, when I was giving birth back in the day, they did not allow anyone in the room. In my grandmothers day and my Mother’s Day women all gave birth without their husbands when it was not possible to have them. So your husband is sweet to say yes you could have and he is absolutely correct. God bless you both and your new little one. We’re so happy for you all.

While Ira and Woody are still so tiny, a photo I once saw came to mind. Multigenerational photos of hands only. Babies hand on mama or daddy's hand, then Gramma(s) and Papaw(s) hands on or by yours and Austin's, and sweet Granny to bless the wreath of hands or whatever shape/design you wish. (Even photoshop in Miss Cindy's hand - now I'm tearing up too). You can look up some examples that folks have taken. A lovely tearjerker and heartwarming keepsake. Funny story: In 2nd grade , I had a boy in my class named Woody. Another little girl was just crazy about him( he was very handsome) . She would call his name , wanting his attention constantly, the teacher must have got a little tired of hearing it . The girl would say “ Woody , Woody, Woody ! and the teacher would say of course he would! Of course we’d all laugh and the little boy would turn beet red! It was my first memory of someone named Woody but it was a good and memorable one also . Just thought I’d share for a little giggle. Congratulations again! ❤🙏

I remember when my twin daughters were born. It was the most amazing experience. My wife had a similar experience, as your mom with you guys. She was in an antepartum intensive care at 29 weeks and could not get out of bed! We prayed and she made it to 39 weeks. They are 38 years old now and my son is 42 years old. Beautiful!❤️🙏🇨🇦

Congratulations!!!! It seems that no words are EVER enough to welcome a precious little life, one so close to God. I've always known that little ones are so intensely in tune to the Spirit of God, and I always think about the verse in the Bible that says, I knew you BEFORE I formed you in the womb. God knew our spirit, He created us and put us into just THE perfect family for us. Not only is it "Congratulations" on the birth of your son and the fact that you've all come through it victoriously, but it's a very sacred time between just you two and baby and God! There's just no two ways about it. Soak it in, take your time, and just rejoice. Most the time it's SO great, but some days get to be overwhelming and those are the days that you read the Psalms out loud and give God praise😊. Bless you all! It's so wonderful too that Katie could be with you, and of course that your Granny got to hold Woody. That is so precious! The Lord bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you, be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you, and give you peace!

I use to care for the sweetest man named Woodrow Wilson at a nursing home in Franklin Nc in the late 90s. The name Woodrow has always brought a smile to my face because of that sweet man. Congratulations on your sweet baby boy and his wonderful name.

What a perfect name! My husband has a great uncle named Woody! He's 98, still drives, and he and his wife Patty, are the best! He's an amazing Godly man.
