👍 I was waiting for you to get back to your Bentley Turbo R..Although i know there is certainly no practical reason to buy or own one of these old-school Bentleys. I always wanted one one . But instead ended up buying a non - Turbo Bentley Brooklands instead. Although at time of purchase in near perfect condition. Have still had to spend lots of money 💵 on it. But remember life is short, why not try and enjoy it !. Great video thanks....😊

The Brooklands or even the Mulsanne or ‘8’ make for good drivable options. The turbo is more complicated and expensive to maintain and it’s very rare I get to make any use of the power as it’s just a bit much for most modern driving (but nice to know it’s here). It’s why I like driving the slower twin SU Silver Spirit just as much, as it’s slow but makes you feel like slow is the only way to travel and is effortlessly slow so to speak 😂

From the Late Brake Show video, the leak of the mineral oil on the Turbo R is nothing to worry about. It's where the over flow pipe dumps the mineral oil when it has been filled up too much. It often happens when the car has sat for a while and the rear dampers have sunken, which pushed out the excess mineral oil through the overflow pipe exactly where it has leaked from.

That is genuinely useful to know - I was a bit worried but hopefully nothing to worry myself over - I was worried there was another big bill coming 🤦‍♂️

I also own in my small collection of modern classic cars. A Silver Spirit mark IV last of line 1996, quite rare with only 144 produced with the standard wheelbase. They really are wonderful vehicles, but very problematic Due to the modern electronics they contain, especially when sitting in your garage for too long un used.....

1996 & 1997 Bentleys with Zytek are a mixed blessing. They run beautifully and are the most fuel efficient, but Zytek no longer supports their components for these cars

What was the bill for the work done mate? Great video. Looking at getting my first Turbo in next few months. Owned a shadow but not enough oooopmh

As the work was split between Pennant and Starmans, it’s not the best measure but all in it was about £5500 give or take but that’s for the 4 brake calipers, pads both springs, spring caps, dampers, damper looms, labour, transport, and MOT, so not actually too bad if you ask me!

@@dhutch2000 it’s informative to know the prices as the Expenses ion these cars a huge and people need to hear it, I didn’t and wouldn’t ask a lady her age.
