Yep. I had a 64 Chevy C10 that had sat since 1984. I had to cut down a tree to free it. This was in late 88. So I had a "patina rat rod" before it was cool. I put all my money in the engine, drivetrain and wheels/tires. I came to love it and drove it until 2000. Great truck and great memories! Love old Firebirds. Ive had a few but thats another story.

@@clintdavis9511 Sounds like a cool truck,yeah I wasted my money on the important stuff too like brakes and a better engine, my friends cars all looked good but were unsafe slugs to drive. I love old trucks, my grandfather had 2 early 60s chevy trucks a blue one and a white one, not sure of the exact years, I just remember in the early 80s as a little kid my Dad borrowed the blue one to take an old wood console TV to the dump. When we left the driveway a friggin ton of old dried leaves came out of the dash vents like confetti, I laughed the whole way to the dump, then I got to kick our old television off the tail gate down a hill full of trash, probably one of the best days I ever had as a kid....man I feel old now LOL!

Because of sponsorship and endorsements. They are given most of the parts in their "builds" purely as advertisements. Since automatics are typically more costly than manuals, transmission companies will advertise and promote their more expensive parts for the general uninformed masses.

El Camino with a Cummins engine no thanks I prefer a 454 Big Block V8 with Turbo 350 Transmission 12bolt GM Rear end with 3.70 Gears but it's their crossover vehicle

I have a 1987 iroc z Camero I pulled the old motor out I put a 383 stroker new new transmission lot's of new part's what my problem is I'm trying to wire it with out the computer that was in the car it had fuel injection now has carburetor the motor is completely new dyno at 600 horse power need help with wirering can you help

I don't think Tony understands Cummins and locking out the tq converter. You loose hundreds of hp not locking your tq converter up. Your spool time suffers too.

I am a huge supporter of MTOD because of the originals like Roadkill, Roadkill Garage, Hot Rod Garage. However, I have barely seen a new show in about 2-3 months. I don’t care for shows like kin-dig-it or whatever it’s called and Junkyard empire, especially Junkyard Empire. If more of the originals are not released I will cancel my subscription and encourage others to do so as well. I will give MTOD another month to release more of the originals, if none are released I will cancel.
