Regarding the low food costs, remember we’re only feeding me and Keith for most of the year… all the kids were gone! We don’t eat fast food or at restaurants at all while on the boat. Food costs are a fraction of what they are when we’re on land with our whole family! Groceries are also extremely cheap in foreign countries! Renee

Oh my gosh, my dad was just like Keith, outspoken and as a teen I was silently praying he didn't embarrass me. ha ha ha I think Keith is funny and normal. I get a kick out of Luke just suddenly there like, "Oh ya, here I am again with my 2nd family!" Glad you all have forged such a great relationship with some of those kids. Who knew when you thought of having kids on board years ago that you would form bonds like that! And I'm going to say it again, Finn's voice is fabulous, and he and Glory should record songs! Have a great time in MT!

If we are lucky, life is a long road, full of a lot of different kinds of people. You have a beautiful family and it's very obviously a loving one. I've watched your show a long time and I am fairly certain our politics don't mesh as I'm a Seattle liberal, but I don't see that as a factor, I respect your opinions and parenting style, and you have my respect and admiration, I will continue to watch and listen to your opinions, who knows, maybe I'll learn something by not judging and staying open to other thoughts and opinions. Your kids and wife are truly amazing, you're very fortunate. Thanks for sharing, I think it's healthy

Keith and Renee, your outlook on life probably matches most people who watch your channel, including myself. I am 71 now and I have had a very enjoyable life and hope that continues for the time I have left. What I have learnt in my life is not to take too much personal baggage with you as you get older. If you know people who are disagreeable or become jealous for some unknown reason, then it is time to lighten your load. Choose to be with people who are true and honest and don’t take life too seriously. BTW, please continue with your channel, even if you decide to give up sailing… I really like your ranch in Montana and seeing the beautiful state you call home.

Brilliant video. The Grand Total made my heart stop!! That figure looked daunting. Few people who don't actually own boat are not aware of the annual cost. I had a small yacht, and if I went out on it and there were no breakages, problems or ripped sails etc, I considered that a rare and wonderful trip!! I know you were feeding the "5000" practically, but they do eat, need to eat and live. Your lifestyle too does not spare the spend, as you probably say, time matters, if you are going to do it, go big!! I love your videos, the sailing ones in particular, but your youngsters turn out some really good stuff too, you taught them well. Good luck for future, and may fair winds take you to beautiful places. From John

We have come to know and love your family. Additionally, we have come to know the Med Crew. It is so much fun to see them pop in and out of your videos. That is a testament as to how you treat people and how much those kids feel comfortable around you. Luke and Glory especially come and go into your presentations. Wish the rest would more. I know it's tough to just pull up and go for most folks but hope someday you have a reunion even if you have to "help" someone join. The only one I think that hasn't ever shown up again is the young man from the middle east. Don' t know how to spell but something like Kanam? Anyway, you know who I am talking about. Always wondered if his time with you was not accepted by some over in his country and he might have gotten in some trouble. Hope not but clearly, he has not been seen or heard from. I pretty much know, anyone would be welcome back by you. Another thing that is clear, is your resources (as in money) to live like you do and have all the hardware, which is a broad term for material things. That is not a negative term for me because I have had them as well. I trust most folks watching understand, not everyone has that ability. Might even be a reason they watch. In any case, keep them coming. I am 82 and it keeps me young, especially when the young folks are shown.

I agree with you Keith! I used to be a people pleaser and now I am who I am. That doesn't mean I am not polite to them, it just means this is me if you don't like it then don't call. Time left… I think many of us in your age range think about this. I think about it when I go to a job that I am fortunate to have from a financial perspective but it sure does suck the life out of me. I think about it in terms of quality time left with those I love. This is the attraction to your channel, you are living life on your terms. I usually write nice comments on your channel but sometimes- very few of these - I comment on Keith’s opinions that I don’t like. But then he will post a video like this one and get me to reconsider my point of view. Peace to all of you. And BTW, those kids can rip on the snowboards, super athletic.

Like the old popular meme that was around years ago "ain't nobody got time for that"!! 😂😂 THAT'S me now IF I'm not around like minded. The song at the end, one of my all time faves by "Bread" (IF) not many people even know if them, y'all got great taste in tunes too, of course!
