Thank you so much for the kind gesture. I grew up in Marikina and it’s heartwarming to watch this. Especially seeing you reach out to our very hardworking mayor Marcy! Just a suggestion, in case you have another Jollibee food run in the future - The burger steak rice meal is also quite popular among Filipinos. I used to work in Jollibee as a crew, and I know they can prepare the burgers and chickens separately (the chickens are cooked using the deep fryer while the burgers are cooked on the grill). The Jolly Spaghetti is also well-loved by the Filipinos, and has a separate prep station as well in the kitchen. :)

Great tips. Spaghetti tends to spoil easily though, right? Traffic can be unpredictable after calamities especially if sa city so maybe it's safer to stick with foods that don't spoil easily.

@@glennrk8249 i would have to agree. Though the gesture is noble, i think it's a big disconnect on how these people needs to be helped. Jollibee is not something these affected people need right now, and certainly not a meal for just one day. To support local business in Marikina proper, why not go to a local eatery and get them to cook big batches of 'ulam' and 'rice', which would feed much more than 200 affected residents. Just my two cents. I'm not hating, but would've been good to think of this laterally. Still applaud these guys and their effort.

@@Burncity10 you can't tell a donor what and how to donate. What you're suggesting is a logistical nightmare at the moment. It's flooded everywhere, where to get ingredients? Whereas Jollibee, or any other big food corporation, has an established supply chain. They also have the equipment, food manufacturing system, etc. What Jollibee should have done is up the ante. Match whatever donations this couple would do. That would be double noble.
