I love that your momma was there to support you. I wish that my mom were the loving and supportive type. I am her only daughter and there are so many things I would still love to do with her, but she pushes everyone away and now doesn’t even pretend to try. I almost died after I gave birth. I almos5 bled to death. Mt parents refused to come to the hospital or see their grand daughter. I was in ICU for 2 weeks and really needed her and I was alone. So appreciate your Mom.

Congratulations to you both. He is beautiful. Perfect in every way. I had a very similar experience during the birth of my youngest. The NICU team came in and resuscitated her. While they were working on her, a team was working to stabilize me. Everything was in slow motion. Time literally slowed down and I had tunnel vision staring at the team working on my daughter. All I could hear was my mother in law repeating breathe baby breathe. It seemed like it took a lifetime to hear her first cry. Once she was okay, I started improving. I got several miracles that day, just like you. God is great!

This was precious. Your mama was watching her baby while daddy was watching his be born, and on and on goes the circle of life. It's excruciatingly hard to watch your child go through labor and delivery. I have five children who are all married and have given me 16 grandkids - I've been at several of my girls' births, and let me tell you, it is NOT for the faint of heart. Especially when they have them without any intervention. Exhausting doesn't begin to describe. I'm so happy you had a successful v birth, the placental abruption didn't hurt the baby, and alls well that ends well. Now may you have a very very happy future as a family. I only had “show” bleeding-no pain-phoned my doctor and he is telling me get to the hospital fast-so we did-45 min later I had my beautiful boy 10bl.4 oz…and NO epidural.

As I watch this, my daughter in law is laboring with their first child. I'd love to be there but we have a house full of people coming tomorrow for 4th of July! What a loving husband my husband was so worried when I had the first one. Because my blood pressure was high . But in my day there was no epidural 15 hours later my baby was boy was born 7 17 77 weigh. 7 lbs 90z 7 pounds 9 oz. The feeling is incredible and you will do everything you can for him god bless you and your little family

I'm so glad they admitted you early and gave you the epidural. I went in 4 days in a row, but they wouldn't admit me until I was at a 5cm, I was crying and begging for the epidural.

Yeah it was rough. I’m having my second end of July and since it’s my second they will admit me sooner since labor can happen faster as a second time mom. Hopefully I won’t be sent away 4 times. 😅
