Rebuilding it would be a waste of money. But totally worth it for you guys and the type of thing that if documented well can skyrocket a channel

For sure, we could have parted it out straight after purchase and made well over what we paid for it, but its for the journey.

bmw sells the rear strut towers still brand new. its that entire area thats been hacked up. just need to it have it professionally welded in.

We'll be performing a repair and then doing a full reinforcement that is compatible with rear seating. Can't say to much, you'll have to wait until the next one.

Yeah bernats right - and one thing as well, the m54b30 powered x5s have a big engine bay to fil in a spooly boy.

After making that comment it did spring to mind: maybe Tourings aren't a thing downunder like they are in Europe (aka kick a rock and there's one there - if not petrol, diesel)

you can certainly find them, although a bit rare however they fetch more $$$ otherwise there would certainly be one in the fleet!

I just bought a rebuilt title e36 for $7500 with the plan of it being a drift car, she's been clapped, welds on the rear shock towers, a clunk from the rear subframe (the bushings look good😭). I'm going through what yall are going through.

This is what I fear when I think of buying any used BMW, let alone the cheapest M3 available! lol, good luck with the project. I kinda miss my 1995 318ti, but it was SLOW! Not too sad about seeing one scrapped.

Ahahaha, yeah the compacts are funny little beasts. Maybe we do something interesting with one down the line. The project did just get a little more expansive and expensive for sure though.
