We missed Nero (ˊ ³ˋ) And we are loving this game a whole lot more than the previous titles already xD Also Dante is finally cool again.
As you may know, our first DMC game was Devil May Cry 5 so playing the older titles have felt like massive whiplash. They have similar elements but overall don't play or control the same, DMC4 feels the closest to how DMC5 was XD The older games have also felt a bit empty without Nero, we started with the game where he was basically the star after all xD

Fortunately DMC4 was my first DMC game when I was young, so Nero holds a very special place in me and I've always liked him more than Dante. I was so confused to the whole story because English is not my first language and I didn't know the previous games. And I can't finish it because it was too hard for my child mind. It was a whole fever dream lol

The fact that Nero's first interaction with his uncle involves said uncle crashing through the ceiling, killing the pope, styling on a bunch of holy knights and then fighting him is just insane 😂 also, DMC4 Dante is my favorite design for him.

People hated nero at the time cause he was the new mc and was replacing dante. But once the reboot came out it made nero look better and by the time 5 came out most people had accepted him. With kyrie it would be more of a spoiler kinda so I won't say anything.

@@samurai6331 I wouldn't say that she doesn't have character. She's a really warm and caring person, and pretty brave as well considering she threw herself in between a demon and a helpless child. And later on she opens an orphanage in Redgrave, so she clearly has those motherly instincts and a drive to help others. She's just not a useless character, she's just not a fighter like Trish or Lady and that doesn't make her less of a character.

Honest confession, I went through the whole game and thought only small humanoids could be grab attacked. Made my run much harder XD Also, all bosses can be grabbed twice I believe, one where they sorta power down and one when they fall down.

Okay, I did a little checking on the Kyrie hate cause I was curious. (little as in, I went with the first few results and comments that popped up, lol) and BASICALLY, people didn’t like Kyrie because she seemed kind of generic compared to Trish or Lady. The example I found basically compared her to Lois Lane (Superman’s girlfriend) or Princess Peach; she exists just to look pretty and need rescuing. This is just me relaying info, btw😅. I couldn’t give a f-k about that, I’m just here to enjoy the commentary and the demon ass-whuppings. Also, I have to admit I laughed when you asked why Nero was dressed differently than the rest. “What, haven’t you guys ever played ‘spot the anime progatonist’ before?🤣”

I'm pleasantly surprised to see you guys do dmc4 so quickly after finishing 3. I was so excited to see your reactions to Gloria and I was not disappointed. Now to be a know it all jackass that answers rhetorical questions. 1-the sword Nero has at the opening cutscene was just an armblade from one the ragdoll demons he was fighting 2a-the fandoms criticisms of Kyrie stems from feeling that she really doesn't add much to the story other than being a pretty barebones damsel in distress making her a pretty bland character overall 2b-the actual most disliked female character from the series (game wise at least) is Kat from the DmC reboot cause practically everyone in the fanbase hates everything about it with a burning passion. 3-people were reluctant to accept Nero because it seemed they were replacing Dante for him when people were really attached to him especially after 3. And didn't think his character in this game was that interesting compared to Dante, but you can be the judge of that. P.S. I love your censor sheep icon. is so cute and super clever. 😄

Dmc 4 is a good game, it's not that bad. The problem was nero, at the beggining most of dmc fans did not like the character, but after dmc 5 that's different. The game is better than 2, but that time fans put this one at the same level because they were angry for not playing with dante jaja, so that don't pay attention to some comments related to this game because it has problems but not that bad, by the way I'm sorry for my english, I'm from latam, I love your comments in your vídeos

Fun fact about DMC4, its a unfinished game (which you will see why and hate later, especially M19), but after its releasee came a few things important to the game. 1. The reboot (DONT EVER PLAY THE REBOOT! I got that game for like $7 on sale and I regret getting it, its somehow worse then DMC2), THEN came the special edition making Vergil (almost the same as DMC5 in combat) as well as Lady and Trish as playable characters- cause they realized they effed up with the reboot. Also in that time came the pachislot games, which is a gambling machine, and it has the game on it, just harder cause gambling, but sick extra music (look up pachislot dmc, or DMC final judgement, or the like) and a cool anime intro. I can provide links if you want to check em out. (on a related note theres also a DMC anime and a second anime coming out) Also 31:53 No its not me I do NOT dress like that

I personally believe the main issue people have with Kyrie is that she's a walking plot device. No spoilers, but due to the nature of her *not* being a fighter in an *action* game, she doesn't exactly get much screentime. Despite this, she's one of the main driving forces behind Nero's motivations in 4. Lady in 3 also feels disconnected from the plot at first, but then it's expanded upon. Trish is incredibly integral to the plot of 1, literally being the one to hire Dante. The biggest issue with female characters in general with this franchise is that outside of the games they're introduced in, they just kinda show up in later games? Like, Lady and Trish exist for fanservice in 5, and Kyrie straight up is just a voice. It doesn't really detract from the games all that much, but they don't particularly add much either. Which brings us back to the main point. Kyrie doesn't add much to 4, yet she's simultaneously the main motivator after the first quarter. She skipped the first half of the female DMC equation of being a character and skipped straight to just kinda being there.
