We've had 3 Beagles in our 38 years of marriage, the most common things is they all know the words Chicken, Cookie, & go potty! Its been two years since we had our last sweet Girl put down, it takes 3-4 years to get the courage to get another one. The Freedom vs. Responsibility internal battle has to win over, lol. Now that we are working 22 hour days in summer at our Camp Host support roles, it may be a little longer between Beagles. Hi David and Lefty. I cant help myself David . But my commercial electrician brother used to force electrician knowledge on me continuously. One thing he taught me was to always cut your electrical tape never do like you did in the video. That causes the end to be all messed up and it wont hold. Caused by the stretching. I did learn to always cut it eventually.

Funny name fleet finds, I call mine "street finds". I ride an ebike about 4500 miles a year, and find all kinds of stuff on the street, curbs and parking lots. Screwdrivers, wrenches, towing receiver parts, cutters, tape, and even chrome exhaust tips for the Ford diesels. My biggest find was a torque wrench that some poor mechanic lost probably test driving what he was working on. I love it when our pups do the run around and wear me out.

I lost my Gazelle. The guy next to me talked me into tying it down from the center of the X. I added rachet straps Instead of the little cords. It eventually went and toppled right over. Ripped seams only so fixable. It really was whipping that day.

Dave, you can use a slip knot around a small rock to secure things with broken grommet holes. Every year for the last five I've had tents and shade covers destroyed by the wind and so to improvise the slip knot is a God send. Have a good day.

@@TheCampulanceMan I hear you. In a pinch I do not need grommet holes. A small rock on the inside is pinched which holds the stone when the parachute cord is wrapped around it from the outside. Not perfect, but used it in CO when my tent blew away. I also bought a grommet tool that came with 200.grommets, going to test it out on a Faraday cloth I bought that is going to be a ground plane for a vertical antenna I use in my portable ham radio communications for POTA (Parks On The Air). Heck yeah! Scout the area on the Bike. The electric AND the dirt bike. As for stakes, I like to go to Home Depot or Lowes, get some thinner rebar, find a metal girder with holes in it and bend the rebar over at one end for rope to stay locked around. Things last forever.

Lefty had the zoomies! I love it when our pups are so happy. Hidden Peak at Snowbird Ski Resort (elevation 11,000 ft) had 100 mph winds the other day. Sorry about the shower tent. Could you try making loops using tape? It might last for a bit, but you still need a rain fly....maybe you need to take a long walk for another fleet find. Wouldn't it be funny if you found your own item?

I went to Roswell then up to Bottomless lakes and next day over to Oasis State Park. We had 45 MPH winds with gusts up to 55 MPH. On the way an unexpected snow storm hit the road. No snow when I arrived at Oasis but an hour later snow and woke up to 19 degrees. Yesterday was up at Rockhound park and yes wind, wind and more wind. This morning was chilly but thank goodness wind had died down. So over here in New Mexico it's been cold and windy as well. Nice finds. Oh I found out my two pups are snow dogs they loved it. My little male reminds me of a smaller version of lefty.

My house had a few seconds black out numerous times last night. A pine tree landed on my car. Thankfully the windshield appeared to be the only thing damaged. The wind was so loud with 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 55 miles per hour. Quite a bit of fallen trees in my home town.

Regarding the shower tent, have you thought about attaching it next to your motorcycle that way you can walk in and out of the shower tent and into the rig since it is collapsible. It's like having a shower in the rig. You can make it work.

My first thought about the round plastic piece is that it was possibly part of a RV sewer hookup; hope you washed your hands. About electrical tape: When I had my motor home I always used best quality "UL Approved" "All Weather" tape for wrapping any electrical connections; it the tape failed, equipment could be damaged or a short or fire could result. The good UL stuff will not get brittle in the cold or melt in hot weather like some of the cheap stuff will. The cheaper stuff is fine for wrapping wires or other, non critical uses. I feel the better, more expensive stuff is worth it; I had a lot of electrical connections with the inverter, and numerous ham radio and other electronic equipment in the motor home. Sometimes Lefty appears too spoiled!

Hi David and thank you for these videos. I appreciate your report about the weather and the number of campers this year. Yes it would be good to see another bike tour showing the campers if it’s not too much trouble. We aren’t coming to AZ this year and neither are at least a couple of our friends. It’s too cold down there but also we just have this weird feeling that we want to stick closer to home for some reason - can’t explain it. Also the helicopter with sugar spoons is an anemometer :)
