This was just too good!!! I saw 53mins and I thought what will Dave and Tracey show us for almost an hour that they haven't yet? Boy was I wrong!! Your video skills are out of this world! Feels like we are there with you. Mt Kilimanjaro is the most majestic mountain on earth. There is just something about the way it sticks out above the clouds. Its an awesome view especially when you are so close. My first encounter with the mountain was unexpected. I was traveling to Loitoktok town and I was seated on the front seat of a van. I looked forward and out of nowhere completely expectant, I saw this huge mountain all white towering above the clouds!!! I have never forgotten that sight. It was breathtaking! You are truly having the best days of your lives. Thanks for sharing them with us. And thank you for choosing Kenya and loving it so much. Sometimes we Kenyans forget what a beautiful country we have.

The run down lodge you saw, if it was the one close to Ok Tukai then it was Amboseli Lodge. It was actually owned by the Kajiado County Council before closure but was leased out to Hotel/Lodge chain Operator/Franchise. The lease was actually revoked and the lodge was never tendered out again. Usual issues with the bid process hindered by local political issues 😕

Just watched this video(I know I’m late) incredible and funny, wish you guys would have arrived two years ago, you would have had the chance of seeing the most iconic elephant in the world, Tim, he was so amazing, friendly, would walk up to cars and was always surrounded by his bodyguards and his tusks would reach the ground, his size and tusks made him popular worldwide, he passed away last year of old age, I was lucky to see him twice just 150 meters from the gate a few months before he died, now his cousin Craig has taken the mantle, maybe you saw him, unlike Tim he is weary of humans. If you don’t wanna see a lot of vehicles I suggest Tsavo, it’s massive and read about its incredible history before you decide to go

That's true you can tell from the line on the map it bends to "cut off" Kilimanjaro. There was no way Kenya was going to have two of the tallest mountains in Africa (Mt Kenya) being second tallest. Also note Mt. Kilimanjaro is the tallest " free standing" mountain in the world. Finally as they say, Tanzania got an the mountain but Kenya has it's best view.
