Oh by the way, good garages always have someone keeping an eagle eye on things. I see apprentices here in NZ trying their utmost to be "productive" and rushing things and not fully understanding the need to be careful when torquing up the various components. It shows that their supervisors aren't taking the time to mentor them properly and check their full understanding. This invariably results in failures and loss of reputation / business. A boatbuilder told me just last week, "I stand at the door like a seargeant at arms, at the end of a day, and ask everyone to summarisae where they are at with their projects". Some managers that aren't people people will be intimidating and downright scary, but the right guy will be all ears and supportive like you. The thing is, the bad bosses will lose staff and customers too. There are no short cuts!!

Love t vid. Oh to own that car C63 would be a dream. I’ve a 59 plate C220 CDI AMG with 55k on the clock had it 11 years FSH so worth going to a specialist to look after it worth every penny. Time to change it? Not by performance it needs some small cosmetic jobs but that’s it. Saves me buying a new car for + thousands of £’s with about t same mileage but with iffy or no proper servicing, no chance! Great vid

The only realistic way to cost this project is to price it as if you were the customer and you were getting the final bill. As you said wages have to be paid whether it's your car or a customer care. Small items also have to be bought and re.stocked. Even the used under panel also has a market value which must be included. It's not for us but for you. You need to accurately account for everything you have invested to assess the current value of the car.
