Good morning. When my husband and I purchased our house and some areas had carpet, that's the first thing we would tell our children to take your shoes off at the door. That's what saved our carpet, and whenever we had family or friends coming over, we had shoe covers for them right at the door. I didn't like anyone walking on my floors without a shoe cover or shoes off because they were bringing in whatever they walked on outside.

I didn't put anything else in mine, but I don't see why it would be any problem to put the items you did in the bag.

I love in Canada and it is customary to remove your shoes. If you want to wear shoes inside there are slippers or shoes designated just for that purpose to never go outside. I always found it very odd that Americans leave their shoes on I have a hard enough time keeping floors clean when we remove shoes I couldn't imagine the mess if they stayed on.

Sarah... Beings you really like that couch so much.... If you anticipate you might have a place to utilize the WRONG COUCH you have at the farm house in there new house you're planning to build..... On the day they're supposed to deliver the new couch, you might give that company a call and ask them how much they're willing to discount the couch you have at the farm house. Often, they're willing to highly discount something rather than have to pick it up to bring back to the store and sell as a used couch at a discount anyway. Ive seen friends get as much as 50% off. Definitely making it worth their while! (ESPECIALLY beings they so often quit making these things we love, and you're no longer to get that exact one again. We just had it happen with my dad's Absolute ALL TIME FAVORITE recliner when we went to purchase a matching one for my mother. So we had to special ordered / special made from the same company, all to have it NOT BE THE SAME IN ANY WAY after all the waiting time and money! Darn it anyway!!!) Thanks again for sharing your life with us! We really enjoy watching your family!! So glad you're all feeling better!!!

We still have a fairly large extended family but only get together a few times a year if lucky because as time goes on, each has their own extended family and people move, etc. and life and jobs interfere. You aren't to the point yet where there are grandkids and children having left the nest so enjoy every moment. With such a big family you will still have it but it does change and evolve of course as you know.
