I am a believer in the paranormal. I’m a retired RN & worked with the elderly and long term care (Nursing Homes) and oh, the stories I could tell you. I’ve saw more people pass on to the next phase of their life and I’ve had them leave as a soft breeze, with a smile and an expression of such peace on their face and I’ve had to leave begging, crying, screaming that something awful was coming after them and they were going to hell and begging me to not let them die. You can doubt all you want to but I’ve seen it, heard it, felt it and I know it’s all real. It has made my faith in God so much stronger. I know there are things that exist that we have no logical explanation for and both benevolent and malevolent spirits do exist.

Okay, here's a paranormal experience (and thank you for sharing yours, by the way.) This happened in Old Pascua, which looks like any other neighborhood in Tucson, but in fact is a Yaqui Indian village which used to be just outside of Tucson and then the city expanded and engulfed it, and folks updated the buildings as time went on--looks ordinary, is not. I was attending the Easter Ceremonies, which are intense and exhausting and in the final week go on from Wednesday through Sunday , day and night--I won't lie, I'd been going on very little sleep and a whole lot of prayer. It took place on Easter morning, right when the darkness was just beginning to give way to light but not quite a real dawn yet. I was walking away from the Ceremonial grounds to the place where I'd been staying, to catch a few hours of sleep before Easter Mass, when I saw an old woman sobbing her poor heart out By Richey Elementary. The fence dipped in a little there, and she was leaning against the fence, one arm flung upward. I could tell that she was old not only by her white hair, but because I could see the wrinkles on her elbow. I could see dark embroidery around the edges of her cap sleeves, a simple blanket-stitch. She was wearing a loose white top over a white skirt, as Natives and Mexicans did in the old days, but that didn't seem odd as it's cool attire and the night was hot, and many people dress a bit old-fashioned in the Ceremonies. I was a bit wary of approaching her at first, wondering if she might be drunk or high, but it was Easter, and I couldn't turn away from suffering on Easter of all days, could I? So I came a little closer and asked her if she was all right. She just vanished, dissipating like mist. There was no way she could have been mist--I saw too many details for that, this was the desert where mists just plain don't happen often, and mists don't sob. So I said a prayer for her and went to bed. Now, before I mention the next part you have to know about Richey School. Old Pascua (then called "Pascua") was built by Yaquis who came north of the border to flee the persecutions from Porfirio Diaz. They arrived at a good land with good soil, water, plenty of jobs, and neighbors who didn't want to kill them, on Easter day, hence the name "Pascua". But they didn't have schools. Alice Richey decided to make a school for the Yaqui children. She didn't want to destroy our culture like the other schools for Indians, she didn't want to steal our children away from their families, but established her school right in the middle of the Village itself. She never abused anyone the way the official Indian schools did. She was a woman with a beautiful heart. The first school was just an awning to keep off the heat, and she used to sketch her lessons in the dirt like it was a chalkboard. That was okay--learning is a treasure in any setting. Over the years, like the rest of Pascua, the school got modernized. It looks like any other school today. But like the Ship of Theseus, it's still the school that Alice Richey gave us from her love. Now here's the eerie part. On Monday the word came down that the City of Tucson had decided to close Richey School. Our kids would have to go to other schools where they'd get bullied, where teachers wouldn't give homework to catch up for days missed for the Ceremonies, and where nobody knew or cared about our way of doing things. The ghost was mourning what was about to go down! She was trying to warn us! The story does have a happy ending. The tribe eventually bought the school back. And when Tucson started to sell off parks we bought our Ceremonial Grounds back. We even loaned money to the City of Tucson when they were still strapped for cash., and donated money for the Winterhaven Christmas Lights. Tucson was good to us when we were refugees, so we've been good back.

I was sitting at my desk in the living room one afternoon. My husband, who has Pulmonary Fibrosis, was resting in our bedroom. I was watching a video on my computer when my eye saw something heading in my direction. I then watched an orb float very close to my face and then fly up and disappear. I once video-taped an orb in a Fair Play, Colorado historic building, that I did not see until we saw the playback. I had not seen the Fair Play orb with my naked eyes. This time, I saw this small transparent orb with my own eyes. I was not frightened; I was in awe and I still am.

I did have a couple experiences in Washington state. Lived there about 40 years. I saw a man go from the refrigerator to the stove in my neighbors half of the duplex we lived in. It was a very old house. He was dressed in bell bottoms and had curly hair. I could see his belt loops. He was all white. She said “you saw it?”, she also said he turns on her baby’s mobile when he’s fussy and other things. It was nice to be validated immediately.

I still have No Sender messages on my old 2G phone. My parents had retired and were living on their property in western Maine. Dad was an avid deer hunter and had gone out with a buddy to hunt. Sadly, just after they had decided what direction each was going to and to meet up for lunch, my father had a massive heart attack and died instantly. This was in Nov 2007. Now I was living in Tulsa and my parents and I kept in contact by phone. Also Dad did not believe in the after life at all. My sister lived in Vermont so she got to Maine and Mom first. Later that night she was woken out of a sound sleep by my father's voice calling "Hello, hello", as he was walking down the long driveway to the house. It was like he was lost she said. In fact she told him he had died and could not come in the house. My husband and two brothers made it to Maine together. All during the time I was there I got multiple NO SENDER calls with no one responding to me, just white static noise. We all knew Dad was there. The air was heavy in his workshop too. Now when we returned from Maine, I got more NO SENDER calls and one with EVP from Dad. In time the calls stopped. I'll never toss that phone out. Thanks for introducing your son. I saw the Ghost Adventures at the Washoe. Yes it looks like you caught the boots and pant legs up to mid calf. No one today would be caught dead in those pants, but he sure did get caught! I do have more stories.

Congratulations on 9k subs, I'm gradually watching all your videos from the beginning. When I was 5 or 6 years old ( many, many moons ago lol ), we had a primary school trip to Longleat House, near Warminster. (It's a beautiful Elizabethan house, and is the seat of Lord Bath). My mum came as a chaperone to help out. While in the house, the guide was talking about the room we were in and mum noticed me intently watching as if I was following movement. She asked me what I was looking at, and I told her the really pretty lady wearing a grey dress ( she couldn't see her, but didn't scoff or tell me not to be silly etc ). A little later mum quietly asked the guide if the house was haunted, and was asked 'oh, did you see her?' Mum replied that I had. Evidently a previous Lady of the house has been seen several times by different people and is known as 'The Grey Lady', obviously we had no idea at the time. Best regards.

@@CuriousHistoryYT I've actually had this happen several times. My mum and maternal grandmother both experienced things too - mum will 'feel' something, she's not seen anything, and my nan was the same. I've never felt afraid any time this has happened. While my parents were looking for a property previously, they had arranged a viewing of one place that looked perfect. They walked in and mum immediately said she felt like a cold blanket fell over her, she had to leave. On asking some questions afterwards, it was revealed that the previous owner had taken his life in a bedroom. I find this subject really interesting, not sure how to explain it or what causes it. Best regards.

Great channel! Love the detailed history. Seems like you all really know your stuff! I grew up in a haunted house. Nothing terrifying, just a gentle presence. Later we bought a farmhouse that had belonged to the family of one victim of what was at that time the worst mass murder in the US. Again, nothing scary, she was a gentle soul, she liked to sing lullabies and stroke peoples' hair. But get her upset and all of the doors in the house would slam shut in rapid succession! You all should venture down to Cambridge Ohio. We lived there for a while and I guess there is both amazing history as well as some haunts. Keep up the amazing work!

I really want to paint that picket fence on the old balcony of the Washoe Club. I live in an old western town in So.Utah. There are many old pioneer houses here with the old gingerbread trim. It makes so much difference to keep it sparkling white like it was new. It preserves that wood which is rapidly deteriorating. That original wood is very hard to replace. My husband and I visited a haunted house attraction in York, England a few years ago. We were encouraged to take photos so my husband took a lot with his phone. In the small wainscotted room was a cheval glass (a tall mirror on a stand) and I told him to take a photo of my reflection. After snapping the shot he looked at it and said, "That's weird" and showed me it. All you could see in the mirror was streaks of fog like ectoplasm. Spooky. I said take another one so he did and it came out normal with my reflection clearly visible and no fog. Later in a nearby pub we flicked through all the photos he'd taken and the only one missing was the one with the fog in the mirror. Years later I was on the haunted house site online and scrolling through photos other tourists had posted and there was one someone else had taken of the same cheval glass and it showed the same foggy streaks. Obviously though theirs had stayed on their camera at least long enough for them to post it!

Back in '92 or '93 (I was either 12 or 13 years old) it was a Friday night and I was in my bedroom (3rd floor, finished attic) laying on my bed, listening to music. I was facing the wall around 1 or 2 in the morning when I felt "someone" sit on my bed. I was half asleep, so I didn't immediately roll over until "someone" leaned on my side, like they were trying to look at my face. I rolled over, startled and immediately my cassette tapes directly in front of me, stacked in the holder, under my stereo (yes cassette tapes...lol) fell forward and across the floor towards me, beside my stereo was a dresser with my unicorn figurines on it, one of them was knocked on the floor and shattered and then the blind on my window flipped up and flapped as the spring unwound (the window was located beside my bed, on the wall where my headboard was) it was one of the old rolled blinds (before mini blinds were really a thing, or at least we didn't have them yet... you would pull down and lock it in place and then pull again and guide it up so it wouldn't just flip around until the spring was unwound... it was like I scared "it" and "it" circled around my room and out the window... the hair on the back of my neck and arms still stands on end when I tell the story...

The Old Washoe Club is possessed, it scares off the bravest. Virginia City clears out completely in the early evening. There is an old widows & orphans home and insane asylum near me. It was used as a flee market about 10-15 years ago, I was in there with a group of people in the hall and had something whisper in my ear and breathe cold air down my neck. Vendors experienced stuff moved around when they opened the next days after closing. Now it's a ghost hunt attraction called Rolling Hills Asylum, called the most haunted building in NY by those familiar with how haunted it is.

I loved getting to 'meet' your son John. Actually, I was wondering if you two were twins when I first opened this up!! Sorry, you just look so much alike and ageless, I was blown away when you said this was your son!! I love all your spots. We went to Zoar just last week and it was all closed up. Of course, it was February, but i saw no people at all there. Wondering what the closed roads at the end of the town were about. Looked like huge mountains of sand and the road was closed. We drove down by the lake, but really couldn't tell anymore about what was going on there. On that note, why is there no cemetery in Zoar. I looked on my phone and just when I was about to look for an address, my battery died!! Last Fall we went to the train site that you spoke about. That was fun, we drove around and around looking for the actual rail road, but couldn't find it. Then we took a road through a factory, (that was sort of blocked off ) and came up to the tracks. So cool. Thanks for all you do in Ohio, are you from here? We live in Northwest Ohio. sorry this was so long, I'm just excited to actually hear from you and your son.

Hi Lin! Sorry Zoar was closed up when you were there. I think they are working on a big reservoir and canal project which is why the road was closed. There is a cemetery there. It’s on the west side of the town nearest to the river. Yep we are from Ohio. Hopefully we will get to northwest Ohio this year! Thank you so much for watching! 😊😊😊

Been watching your videos for the past few days (thanks to youtube algorithm for recommending them to me). I just subscribed and I too have a paranormal story to share. 2 actually. First one was when my dad and I were visiting Placerita Canyon State Park here in SoCal one day to go on a hike on one of the trails and see the rehabilitated animals. It was a stormy day but not quite raining. The clouds were dark and ominous and my dad and I were on his motorcycle. We didn't care! Anyways there is this... cabin...? of sorts that was supposed to be a recreation or something (not entirely sure) of Mr. Walker's cabin. There's a place on the trail called Walker Ranch that you can visit and the only remains are of what I think used to be the chimney and hearth but it's all mostly crumbled. Anyways my dad and I were checking out the cabin and this cabin has windows on the front and back that basically mirror each other so you can see the front porch by looking through the back and front windows. We were looking through the back ones when we see this guy walk across the porch wearing a straw hat, white blouse, and blue jeans. We didn't hear him walk across. We just saw it. So I went to go have a look to see where he was heading and saw nobody. He vanished in thin air. I looked everywhere where this guy could have walked. He wasn't on the porch and you would have seen him continue to walk because of the big open space the cabin was sitting in. He was gone. We went into the giftshop to tell the person working the counter about it and we came across a picture of the Walker family and the guy we saw at the cabin matched Mr. Walker (or one of the males) in the old black and white photo. The second one was also with my dad but the most truly terrifying experience I've ever had with a "ghost" or whatever the heck it was. We went to Calico Ghost Town in San Bernardino for a Civil War Reenactment that he used to do. It was an actual mining town back in 1881 and was eventually abandoned. The only original remaining building there is supposedly the school house (I think I could be wrong. It's been a few years). At some point Walter Knott (the founder of Knott's Berry Farm) bought out Calico and turned it into a tourist attraction. Pretty cool historical stuff. So we go there and fire off some cannons (which was really fun by the way!) and we continue to put on a show for guests until late afternoon. After the shows were over (we had to stay the night in a hotel because this was a 2 day event), my dad and I continued to check out the place. I ran into a cat that looked like a stray but she was an absolute sweetheart. I found out her name was "Pest" and she was the town's pest control I guess. She let me pet her but she was a bit skittish of me and ran off into the field behind a chain link fence. I wanted to go ghost hunting because I'm a little sensitive to stuff like that. At one point we stopped in front of one of those Zoltar fortune teller machines except it was designed to look like a prospector and it wasn't working until I took a picture of it with the flash on and it started talking to me. Gave me the scare of my life and I laughed it off. My dad then suggested we check out this one building nearby that I didn't even notice called "Hank's Hotel". Rumor had it that there was an angry cowboy ghost there or something that attacks people. If I recall, I didn't even know about the angry cowboy ghost until I got home the next day and called my dad about it when I found out. So we go there and Pest the kitty began to follow us. We got to the building and it's completely dark out. Pest started rubbing up against our legs a LOT. This didn't seem like her because earlier she wanted a small pet and to be left alone. So why was she being so needy all of a sudden? I pull out my camera to take photos of the building and step closer to it. From the building I got this sudden disgusted feeling that I can't really quite describe. It was then I heard this low long hissing sound come from the building itself. The best way I could describe it was it sounded like someone screaming without the actual screaming. Like that "whispered screaming" people do when they wanna pretend they're a crowd cheering. But it was low and ongoing. I suddenly felt this feeling, like a voice (but not actually hearing it) telling me to, "Get out of here! Get away from me! LEAVE! NOW!!" and the feeling was strong so my dad and I booked it away from there and he said he felt it too. He said, "I don't know why but I felt like it was an angry drunk in there. Definitely male and definitely angry." The cat vanished after we left that area. She didn't follow us. We went to our campsite with the other reenactors and something kept drawing me back to that hotel from where we sat. I kept looking at it and my dad and I saw a light moving in the upstairs portion of the building. Like someone was walking around up there with a flashlight. Probably true. They did do tours up there sometimes. After that, we left Calico and stayed a night in a hotel and I had a dream about that hotel and the angry male spirit. Felt like a nightmare. The next day we came back to continue our reenactment and during our break hour, my dad and I checked out Hank's Hotel again because I wasn't as freaked out in the day than I was at night. We couldn't get into the building of course because it was closed to the public. We went to the back of the building and I started taking photos of the inside with my camera which I found later to have caught a white circular orb flying away from the camera and window in 2 photos. It could be dust though. I then moved my camera to a small crack/hole in the old wooden door and snapped a few photos. When I started to pull my camera away from the hole, I saw a white cloudy mist swipe past the hole. My dad saw it as well and he described it to be a transparent white cloudy mist that moved like light on a flashlight. There was nobody in the building. I of course screamed and fell on my butt out of reflex but was really intrigued with what just happened. My only regret is that I wish I had my camera recording a video when that happened. I still have no idea what was in there but I hope one day I can go back and see it again. (Edit: Fixed some misspelling)

About a year and a half ago, I belonged to a “ghost hunting”group. It was a very legitimate group. Originally based in Nevada, they were expanding to Arizona and that is when I joined with them. As our first official outing, it was a training night, we went to the cemetery in Duncan, AZ. I have always been able to sense when spirits are around, but I had never experienced anything quite like this night before that. I was lucky enough to view a full bodied apparition of a girl in her 20’s, dressed in late 1800’s clothing, peering out from behind a pole at us. It was so amazing. Then I also could hear, with just my ears, about 4 or 5 people, 2 women and at least 2 men, off to the side of us and they were talking about us. Then I had a full conversation with a man via the spirit box. About 5 mins after he quit conversing, I literally walked right into his headstone. It was an awesome night to say the least.

She would tell us kids Uncle Silas missed the bus in her dream and a few days later we would get a phone call saying uncle Silas had died. One morning she said John F Kennedy was chasing the bus and he would be dead the same week! She hated having these dreams and waking up with someone she could see thru sitting on her bed. The hotel I worked at for 20 years, also under new management, Residence Inn, built in 1996. I worked there before it was opened. In 2012 it was totally remodeled. Coworkers said they'd see a little boy running down the hall. I have many stories myself but the ones that stay with me is someone whistling. Happened alot, even with two or more people. Guest would leave notes in the room saying the place was haunted. Heard a music box on several occasions. I inspected rooms, and 1 Sunday, I was being followed. Each room I inspected, I'd come out of the bathroom and the nightstand drawer would be back open. This went on for a couple rooms, I said out loud ok its funny you can stop now. And it did . Never happened before this or after. So many stories...a housekeeper came terrified into my office..said someone asked her if she wanted to play in her ear . She was in the hallway, coworkers heard it also but didn't know what was said.

I have had lots of paranormal things happen in my house me and my son live alone since my husband died and we first started experiencing lights flashing off and on as fast as they could in a circle unbelievable the switches were off and then in my room one night something poked me in the back and said wake up wake up and I set up in the bed and in the corner of the room I saw this black figure it had a black cape on I couldn't make out the face but I didn't know whether I was dreaming or what was going on so I got out of the bed to see if I was awake or what was going on and if they did back into the corner but I looked at it for a while and then another night I fell asleep on the couch and woke up and a black shadow person was walking by me going into my son's room and lots of other things that have happened in that house I told my aunt about it that was very religious and she told me what to do to get rid of them and it worked we never had any paranormal things happen again in that house after that my son even had bruises on his arms of fingerprints and he also seen things he's 35 years old at the time it was really freaky so when we did what my aunt said and put olive oil over every door and window and said the Lord's prayer and pled the blood of Jesus over every door and window nothing ever happened again. And then one night I was outside saying the Saint Michael prayer which I'm not even Catholic and in the sky appeared the shape of an Angel it was pitch dark and it was very very bright light and the shape of the angel but it really confused me because it wasn't wearing what I thought an angel would be wearing so I pray to ask God to show me if that really was an angel and then I was on the internet one night and was watching the Christian concert for somebody had took a picture of an angel on stage dressed in the exact same outfit of the angel that I saw in the sky I know it was Saint Michae.God isl amazing and he is alive and so is Satan

Congratulations on 9,000 subscribers! That's pretty awesome! I discovered your channel through a random recommendation from KZbin. I'm a big rail buff, so your video for "The Phantom Train at the River Styx" was recommended to me. As a lover of trains and history (thanks to my dad for both), I was, ironically, curious. Since then I've watched just about all of your videos and am thoroughly enjoying your channel. I especially enjoy the addition of your family members. Keep up the good work!

Nice to meet John! I am a professional lyricist, but I write lyrics for choral anthems and hymns. I am enjoying the videos. Thanks for helping your dad with his video project. I’m so happy to see that the channel has blown up, as they say. Your family is so much fun! It is great to have an audiophile nerd working on the videos!

Dear John and John , I am don't normally add comments, but have enjoyed your channel since i found you a few weeks ago , i live over the pond in Scotland but I am a Londoner and yes i think probably spirts exist. I worked as a Security Manager for six years at a very well known Museum ( oldest public Museum in the world) in London , witnessed locked doors opening , orbs viewed on cctv, and speaking with colleagues with first hand experiences of ghosts all point me to the believing direction, did i mention my grandparents house and strange footsteps and a friends biscuit eating ghost , My regards to you all Andrew , ps just noticed your subscribers numbers are flying not surprised you are genuine decent people doing a great job .

Today it looks like 15.6k subs! Whoot whoot! I love your channel and all things paranormal. I love the history behind these places. I have had several personal paranormal experiences, the one that comes to my mind right now, is while exploring the former poor farm in my area (this was in the 90s) while it was being renovated in to a restaurant, hotel and bar. I was up on the third floor which at the time was a very large open room. I had the feeling of fingers lightly touching my face. Years later I stayed over night in the hotel and a man wearing a hat walked through the window and then out the room door which was closed. The location is Edgefield Manor in Troutdale, Oregon.

I am so glad you posted this! I wish you would have showed the pic a little longer. Question: Were the pair of boots standing behind her? I grew up going to Virginia City and lived nearby Carson Valley. I had a similar experience at the Washoe Club and was on a tour with my friend. We were standing by the door when the tour guide was talking and actually heard and felt a heavy set of boots come up behind me. I know what they sound like because I wear cowboy boots occasionally. They were heavy men's boots and I could feel the thump on the wood floor. I didn't say anything but quietly took a step sideways. The tour guide happened to see what I did and asked me about it. I told her what happened and she said, "That's what I thought. That happens in here." So I wanted to tell you that it also happened to me. Also, service for wifi and cell phone is terrible up there so the fact that you were getting those texts is very strange. Thank you for your story and nice to see your son working with you.

I believe they were behind her 1MadHatter. Such an amazing experience you had there! And for the tour guide to validate your actions too! Thank you for sharing this! It helps me to know that others have experienced similar things in that wonderful town! 😁
