Love love love the large painting over the bed. Phillip and Anna just released their candle venture. Over 100.00 so had to pass. Most candles except Yankee Candles smell good in the jar but not when you burn. I remember my Mom making candles at Christmas in old milk cartons. (Waxed). She did her magic with ice and the candles came out beautiful looking like snow. I love your channel! Plus your fun 🤩 🤩.

I agree with the Yankee candle scents. We had one lit for hours (winter spruce I think). And there was no scent at all….😮. Or they are so intense, they can cause a headache. 😂 I know our candles will be way under that price point. Tony in LA contacted me with the news of the 110€ candles. We couldn’t afford that! Hello Journey-Men! Merry Christmas to all of you there at Colombe. 🎄. That beautiful painting with the sailboats that you picked up recently at a brocante is top notch. Good eye! I haven't made candles since I was a kid and you two have me planning to give it another shot - but not burn my house down making them 😉. I'm super busy, just like you two, so I set up your episodes to run on the TV while I work on the computer and Patrick's giggling is the BEST! It makes me smile and laugh too. When I glance over I can just see Stuart sort of shaking his head. You guys are too funny. I have at tip to share regarding old, cold houses with single pane windows. I lived in the French House (La Maison Francaise!) at college, and we hung old flannel sheets and blankets inside the windows when winter cold and snow arrived. It worked. Even interlining your window coverings with flannel sheets (like the English do) helps insulate the windows -- and adds a glamorous, substantial look to drapes. You can whip those up on your nifty Pfaff sewing machine, right?? XO and Best Wishes from Tina and Penny Boston

I have to agree with Crinkle first! A top sheet is a must! lol. I love candle making, only did it once, but the results where so pleasing. I think i am going to love your apple pie candle..yum!! have just finished 3 days of feasting here at home... OMG! massive banquets in 34 degree heat! Never again! I will only do BBQ and seafood here in summer at Christmas time now, I will only cook Christmas in the snow fields here, they love Christmas in July in Australia, or if I am in the UK or Europe! I just wanted to tell you both how much I love your dogs I adopted a huge gold with black saddle colored Airedale at a shelter years ago and he was the most sweet loving yet viciously protective dog I ever owned. He was so big he stole a roast chicken from the middle of our dining table and broke the latch on our storm door escaping with it shortly after we got him! 🤣 I couldn't even be mad at him and he gave it back before he could ingest any bones ! Just love watching you two. You feel like kindred spirits. I love making candles and creating personal fragrances and knowing that I am using natural essential oils and soy wax so not adding anything nasty to my environment. I buy my candle supplies from Candle Shack in the UK and they have lots of helpful videos. Something else you might like are products from Ortigia, made in Sicily - the scented crystals are divine and the artwork on the boxes are incredible. Have a good 🤶

Experimenting with scents and melting the results (not all are great). 😂. Stuart’s stickers are so elegant. On Christmas Day we will see John and Claire and Bea and in the afternoon we will visit Tony and Jane. What a great day we will have. The donkeys are adorable. They are a specific historical breed here in the Berry region of France. They are called the Big Black donkeys of the Berry. But they come in chocolate too 😘😉😘. I love candles and burn them year round on the down low. Our condo association prohibits candles, oil lamps and any other objects with an open flame.🔥 The building is rather old and there’s no ability to install a water sprinkler system. I really don’t care and light them anyway! I too have been told that my sense of smell is far superior to most. Probably because I can’t hear or see very well!😂 I’m looking forward to purchasing a couple when they are available.
