Well, I used to work at a gas station across the street from the Indy Airport, WWE was in town that night and most of them were returning their rentals, only he came in on one of his bikes. I went out just to shake his hand, didn't even get an autograph. Then he asked me where the nearest Hooter's was, and I told him downtown about 3 blocks from where the show was, I walked in there, and there he was. He thanked me, and bought my dinner. One hell of a nice guy.

according to attendees of an autograph signing that just occurred, he charges $20000-$30000/hour for his time, which the venue then charges $225 for an autograph, on "Undertaker" merchandise that I'm sure he already receives a steep percentage for, for the licensing bit... Mark "Undertaker" Calaway, would still be Mark Calaway if it wasn't for the fans purchasing those tickets to see him, purchasing that "Undertaker" merchandise, and supporting him throughout his super long career... his way of saying thank you to the fans should be offering free autographs, or meet-and-greets... when I was a kid, not more than 10 or 11, I was at a WWF event at the Boston Garden, and out of nowhere, Randy "Macho Man" Savage was walking around the stands (in costume), autographing merch for the kids... this is how it should be done... this is all just my opinion of course

The Undertaker went to the same high school as my mom and lots of my friends. Waltrip High School in Houston Tx. He is my best friend's uncle. My friend's dad is his oldest brother (Paul Callaway). I met him years ago playing cards at his parents in Houston. He was relatively new in the then WWF. Nice guy. Texas boy. He's like 6'9. Was pretty tatted back then too. I had a chance to talk with Mark at an indy event i was a part of working at. And he was NOTHING but professional and courteous the entire time we chatted. We talked about a lot of things business related and otherwise. Of course this was back in the late 90's during his ministry gimmick. One of my favorite gimmicks of his not one of his favorites as he told me just for the record folks. However, i had made a pact with myself about him and had told him during our conversation. That once he retired i was DONE watching pro wrestling he told me don't say that. I said back to him i mean EVERY WORD and told him that he revolutionized this business. And that even back then at that point had achieved what most would never have been able to do. And of course, here we are in 2017 with him retiring and looking past '99 when i talked with him. How he practically committed career suicide by taking his character in ALL types of different directions with his "American Badass" gimmick and other things he's done with his character. That most wrestlers again couldn't have pulled off and maintained the popularity he has all of these years. He will be GREATLY missed this business just won't be the same without him. In many respects, his probably the biggest wrestler to every grace a squared circle. Even more so then Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair for that matter at least in my opinion. I started watching him back when he debuted in '84 as "Texas Red" and lost his first match to Bruiser Brody. So were going WAY WAY back folks in terms of how long i've followed this man's career. I knew it would come to an end at some point every wrestlers has to. But not losing and jobbing to Roman Reigns. He passed the proverbial torch to that kid and i hope he realizes it and it fully soaks in what Mark did for him. Now i expect the WWE to do BIG BIG things for his send-off and induction into the hall of fame. I still hope and pray he make some special appearances now and then I.E. at a Royal Rumble or a match against someone who needs "the rub" to get over further. Hell every other retired wrestler has comeback to do that why not Mark.

As far as I'm concerned, Hulk Hogan doesn't have a place in my own personal top 10...or top 100... or even my top 1,000!!! I'd put Jesse "The Body" Ventura on my top 10 list anyday! Why? You never know what might happen. I felt that way in regards to Metallica, and even saw their 2004 tour with Godsmack 17 times, all backstage, but wasn't allowed to ask for autographs. Then in 2009, I won a backstage pass to their show here in Indy. So like I said, you never know. I've also met Taker once before too, when he was the American Badass, and still is in my opinion.

I met Taker once. It was at a Meijers supermarket in Southbend Indiana back in 99. He wasn't very friendly and when I extended my hand I didn't think he was gunna shake it he waited a few seconds before he did. But I don't blame him for being in a bad mood, getting stuck in a supermarket signing autographs had to suck for him. I wish I could have met him like this though.
