I would for sure swap Chelsea and Spurs, Wolves with Fulham, and the entire bottom 3 with the rest of 14-17, but a bit of a tossup between Ipswich and Leicester and Everton for that final surviving spot pending what happens at Leicester

Chelsea has the Conference League and Spurs, Man U in Europa League, with Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Aston Villa in the Champions League. Those are strong Premier League representative teams in Europe. The coefficient could qualify 5th for the Champions League if all Premiership teams do well.

Who knows? I am Villa fan, and I think you are correct with my guys finishing 5th, or possibly 6th. Here goes my predictions. Think the bottom 6 or 7 could be really interesting this yr. Teams like Leicester are still prem quality and I think would survive but points deduction will make it really difficult, Southampton and Ipswich could possibly survive. Everton could get more points deducted, forest, Brentford and a wildcard we are not expecting will be down there aswell

I'm starting to think that whatever bad decisions Chelsea's ownership makes which causes detriment to their progress people will still go "oh yep theyre top 4 definitely" like damn they just got rid of a manager after things started to click. With a new manager, Chelsea will just have to build from the start again and go through a painful settle-in period we only seen Poch get past.

The media created a false narrative that the points deduction "galvanised" Everton which you have repeated a bit here. Before our 10 point deduction, in our previous 9 games we had won 6, drawn 1, lost 2. If not for the deductions we'd have finished on the same points as Brighton in 11th.

I can't believe you're both mugging off Brentford fc like that, They had 9 1st choice 1st team players missing for over two thirds of the season, David raya out on loan, Toney banned mbemo Jensen norgard, shade,Rico Henry,Ben mee, kean Lewis potter,arron Hickey, plus shot term injuries for Ajer Ethan pinnock vitali Janelt and Nathan Collins. And they still managed so e impressive performances. Cant wait to see how high the Bees finnish with a new attacking line of klp shade wissa mbemo and tiago.... Top 12 minimum. Very disappointed Sophie thought you new a little more about the prem Forrest will be relegated along with saints and Leicester Looking fwd to your August predictions, Glad the channels staying put... Aston Villa got top 4 this season & nobody thought it would happen,even towards the end everyone doubted Villa,pundits/media & other clubs fans never gave Villa a hope of UCL qualification,saying we'll fall away in the 2nd half of the season & will find it too hard with playing in Europe. Villa played 56 games this season,14 of them in Europe & only missed out on the conference league final,they were the last British club competing in Europe & though they looked knackered in the last games they played,they made it all the same & had one of the worst injury lists throughout the season which hardly got a mention by the mainstream media & Unai Emery never brought it up & used it as an excuse when things didn't go our way. The BBC football website has an article on premier league clubs injuries this season & 4 tables with different categories,Villa were one of the worst hit & did incredible too finish 4th & a European semi final,what Emery achieved in the last 18 months is elite & deserves more credit,a good summer in recruitment & hopefully we'll be able to challenge for something good next season. Unai Emery signing a new 5 year contract is great aswell & at Villa we're one big happy family...... up the mighty Villa!!! 😊⚽✌️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

I think the point deductions for Everton actually had the opposite effect to a degree, especially the second one, because mentally when they went on that bad run of no win it was like added pressure, I think without the deductions they’d of been playing more freely, especially when you know you’re safe as well, people forget they were actually outplaying teams,the start of the season Everton were playing very good football with hardly any players fit and just couldn’t score, so adding deductions into the mix of that, it adds a lot more pressure, hopefully they can push on this season and give Goodison park a nice farewell in its final season

Firstly, great to see you back. As a Forest fan it very much depends on if we keep our best players , recruit well and avoid another PSR points deduction. Having said that, we have some good players who were definitely undermined by the points deduction. Add to that pivotal injuries, losing 7 players to Afcon, some horrendous refereeing decisions and losing a popular manager…we did well to effectively finish 10 points above the drop.

The furious battle for promotion could stand all three teams in good stead, hardened by experience of striving for every point (I think having done it the season before in L1 helped us). Ips and Soton both have settled structures and methods of play, though Leics look like they'll be losing their manager. Tough as the step up is, can we outdo lower-to-middling Prem teams with an edge of sheer determination?

saints fan here, RM the last few games including the play offs has changed his system and we’ve looked so much more defensively solid whilst scoring goals so it gives me more hope. obviously we’ll need to sign proven players instead of young high potential players. with loans coming back we’ve got a few strong players who could slot in and can spend our money on players that would make a big difference. it’s really hard to call right now but i’m hopeful we’ll have a chance staying up.

I am a Town fan and really have no idea. Last time we came up, we finished fifth. So many variables. If l am being optimistic there is a well established pattern of play and as mentioned here, a real sense of togetherness. Recruitment thus far has been spot on, especially in January. I thought we would do well last season but the PL is something else.
