I am French and I really enjoy Italian cuisine, your recipes are authentic recipes from the south of Italy.. Listening to you, I have the impression of being in a restaurant like in the American movies about the New York Mafia!! I have a hard time understanding you at times because you have a pronounced New York accent, fortunately the subtitles help me.. Bravo for the detailed explanations of this recipe, all that's left to do is imitate you, we'll enjoy it in advance

Gentlemen: You both look very familar, my name is Neal D'Elia, you may remember me because I am an Identical twin born in Williamsburg. I lived on Orient Ave., by Copper Park. My cousin Sonny bartendered at the Motion Lounge. I stayed on the corner of the "Dead Wagon Inn. It's always nice to hear that guys from the old neighborhood made it! Congratulations on your success!!!

@@BrooklynBrothersCooking Yes a very small world or very special place Wlliamsburg is, it was a great place to grow up, a lot of characters. It was a cast of Thousands! Orient Ave. was the block down from the CARVAEL. Olive Stree was on one side and Metropolitan Ave. was on the other side. Then Bushwick. You wouldn't recognize it now, it's become what they call in sociology transiate.

I’ve been running into your videos on my feed for a few months now, and every time I watch one I end up craving some Italian food dammit lol. So I subbed. I’m the cook of our house. Everything I make is home made and my family can’t get enough. My wife, bless her, can’t cook but maybe 3 dishes good haha, otherwise it comes out of a box or a can with her. Now I got a line on some real authentic Italian recipes with you guys. Thanks. I’m definitely going to try making some. I have no love at all for veal. But this recipe is very similar to what I've used for a long time. It works well with beef shank, pork leg, lamb shank just as well. I tend to serve it with gnocchi; one of my favorite pastas to make. Oh, and I also prefer to use my own stock blending chicken and beef stock (for this dish) together. This prevents the sauce from having a particular flavor of one kind of other meat. The mixture blends together keeping the meat as the STAR of the dish. The gnocchi is the stage, and the sauce is the orchestra and the rest of the cast for this dinner performance. 🙂
