My favourite team: (born in 86) Cech Lahm Lucio Nesta Marcelo Zidane Redondo Iniesta Messi R9 CR7 Cech before his injury held the highest level of a goalkeeper in the history of football IMO. Save percentage was probably over 90%. He was even world class after his injury. Lucio when winning the CL with Mourinho's inter was unstoppable. He shut down the best Barca and Chelsea teams and was probably the best 1v1 defender i've ever seen. Nesta one of the cleanest defenders of all time. Lahm truly underrated because of the Dani Alves narrative from younger fans. He was the complete package. Pace, driblling, passing and understanding of the game was top notch. Marcelo for his brilliant ability on the ball. Could play as a CAM. Vital part of the team that won 3 CL's in a row. Redondo, one of the silkiest midfielders i've ever seen. Iniesta, Zidane and front 3 needs no explanation.

My favourite player ever will always be Johan Cruijff. I'm 21 so I'm way too young, but watching back a lot of him he changed the entire game. Modern attacking football by the likes of for example pep or barcelona for that matter is completely in the spirit of Cruijff. The man was ridiculous. He'll always be the all-time goat for me

@@jarnemelk tried watching his full games and Maradona's too, but for me it looks like football back then has so much less quality in it. Players were not pressing at all, too many poor passes, players constantly lose the ball etc. So it's hard to get used to old school football after watching modern

@@dimitryivanov9778 true. That's also why you really can't choose a goat. Times are different and everybody has his own preferences with players. But to me cruijff was probably the most complete with messi next to him. A lot of the best players were either really fast with a really good dribble, amazing passers, ruthless finishers, etc and cruijff to me really had it all. He was also a tactical genius, but that showed even more at his time as a coach. I get why people vote messi or ronaldo, but I just have a weakness for the man

When you try to study Barca, there’re things you don’t see, the not so pleasing stuff, that’s what Busquets does. He does them so well, you don’t realize the flaws. Busquets is easily the best player in his position of all time, back in his prime. Xavi, oh what to say about Xavi Hernandez. Elegant, intelligent, leader. His passes were beyond words to describe. His intellect can an will not be matched. He was physically disadvantaged, but by far gifted up there. Arguably the best passer of the game. To top it off, with accolades, no midfielder comes close except…… Andres Iniesta. Iniesta was just …. Speechless I am. He and Xavi’s chemistry and Intellect, won games before they started. Iniesta could do anything you wanted a midfielder to tho. As a CM, you would thing he was a LW or CAM. He made everything easier for the attackers. His brain played every possible move 10 times before it happened. One of the best passers in history. Why I think they edge above any Midfield(er) in my team is because of how well they played together. Literally unstoppable in their prime. Changed the game of football. This was how I grew up to live the sport, as I watched these three show the world how football is played. Xavi, Busi, Iniesta.

Xavi was always clear of Iniesta. He is the most complete midfielder of all time. He defended way more than Iniesta and created way more goals. Iniesta obvs is great but Xavi is the best midfielder ever!

yeah i also always thought xavi was better but some fans prefer iniesta as he is more humble but imo zidane was better

In terms of complete, Modric is clear of both Xavi and Iniesta. No midfielder in history could attack and defend the way Modric does. He's a 10/10 in both areas. Iniesta was terrible at defending, Xavi was mediocre at defending.

Wallah, how has nobody mentioned Wesley Sneijder even as an honourable mention especially (StarPlayer or Sharky) he had the best 09-10 season won the treble with Inter, best player in the 2010 World Cup, scored 5 goals, received four Man of the Match awards, tied golden boot Winner. My favourite player Wallahi. He got rob of the Ballon D’or that year.
