I love that big basket you have the Brio pieces in. Where did you get it? I’m always looking for interesting Ways to display The toys in my classroom. We also have that Melissa and Doug barn. The only complaint I have is the hinges broke very easily. I had it replaced once but the second one did the same thing so now I just don’t bother having it on hinges. Other than that it’s fantastic!

I think I just got it from a charity shop, there's always lots of different shaped baskets in my local thrift shops. Shame to hear that about the barn - ours is still all in one piece, but then, it's not his favourite toy, so it's not as well used as the other things (at the moment!). Would love to hear some of your fave ways to display things and other favourite toys?

Ah lovely toys! My little boy is 20 months and loves the busy books! He also got brio for Christmas and loves it! Would love to see a video on books. I love books and great to get some new ideas! :) My little one loves playing with duplo, he’s started to try building things which is fun for me too! X

Such awsome toys, wooden toys are so special. I love that farm, I would also enjoy playing with it :-) What made you decide to become a stay-at-home mum if you don't mind me asking? My daughter is 3 and a half now and just recently she started going to a kindergarden for 3-4 hours a day, to get some interaction with other children. Before she was with me at home and I am still a stay-at-home mum, those few hours allow me to do something around the house and to relax a little.:) Don't know what the future will bring...but I think I need some time outside of my home :) Do you ever feel lonely, being at home with your son? That’s a great question with rather a complicated answer! I was really confused at the start of the year about whether he should go to nursery and I go back to work, but I think I’d still like to help discipline him in this next precious year, and then he will enjoy it much more when he turns three and he can communicate more. But I would so love some time off! I at least still get a good section of the day when he sleeps as he naps for two hours 💛 I don’t know if I could do it so easily otherwise! X

I think you made a great decision. I think its so awsome that my daughter can actually tell me what she's been doing at kindergarden/nursery, how is she feeling there and everything. I would feel rather unsure if she couldn't communicate anything ... Plus I also learnt that children actually aren't ready/mature to enter kindergarden/nursery before the age of 3. Treasure this time with your son, i know it is also hard, but you will cherish these memories forever and the bond will be so much stronger💛.

You're lucky. My family just goes to Walmart and gets plastic junk china toys that my 2 yr old twins just throw and don't play with at all. A lot of those toys are wonder for single babies but those keys my twins will try and kill each other. When i had just one kid it was a lot easier to have some of those toys.

Love how little plastic there is in this selection. And the fact you don’t really notice, they don’t look super “wholesome” toys if that makes sense!

Yes, they do still look colourful and fun! I agree that sometimes wooden toys can be a little unexciting x
