Mexican people are just so lovely. The kind attitude and smiles...so welcoming. Letting you know they're glad you're at their restaurant. They have a servant's heart. Thank you for the tour. Every place you went is on our list for when we visit you guys in March. We LOVE great Italian and great sushi. So nice to see you guys out on the town relaxing a bit. Something tells me we're going to wish we booked more than three nights. 🙂

We actually filmed a segment in Alma Del Sur and interviewed John about a year ago but our camera was having problems and we couldn't use the video. We plan to do it again soon. And yes the portions are so big we only order one meal and share.

I know Mi Loreto, but not Mi Lupita. Where exactly is it? We love to try great restaurants! We are currently only selling Pufferfish shirts at the resort and we have limited supply until we get our next order. We are working on finding a way to offer a quality version of the shirt online but digital printing is too low quality.

There are only four international airports on the Baja peninsula. Tijuana, Loreto, La Paz, and Cabo. La Paz is about 4-hour drive from Loreto to and they have a few more flights to the US. Cabo airport is about a 6-hour drive from Loreto and they have a bunch of flights to the US.

Wow those drinks seem very overpriced for Mexicro, at least since I was last there a few years ago.

Just like anything it depends where you go. Some of the bars in town sell $3 beers and $4 mixed drinks. The average for mixed drinks is $100 pesos or about $5.75. The touristy bars with fancy mixed drinks are up in the $10-$14 range. You can also buy a decent quality 750ml bottle of tequila or domestic liquor for $5-$7. Just for comparison, the last time I went back to San Diego the nicer establishments were usually charging around $20 for a cocktail.

Hi guys! I will be there for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (driving from Guerrero Negro). How much of a ghost town do you think it will be? I've traveled on Christmas before and found that the evening before is pretty dead but that later in Christmas Day things start to open. Looking forward to my first visit to loreto, heading to Todos Santos on the 26th. I would love to have a nice dinner on Christmas Eve so if you know any good restaurants that are open I would appreciate that. I'm bringing groceries with me for cooking as a backup...

We were here last Christmas and there were lots of places open Christmas Eve. Christmas Day was a little more quiet but all the major restaurants like Los Olivos in the Mission Hotel are open. You shouldn't have a problem finding food.

I was set to retire. I had 25 years of income to have a decent retirement, but since March of 2021, our expenses skyrocketed, turning our 25 years of income, down to 15 years. Now we’re considering Mexico, because it’s the only place on earth where I can drive to see my doctor in USA every month. My medicine was $116.00 a month until March of 2021, since then, it’s close to $500.00. Our groceries went from $170.00 a week, to $260.00. Everything else is up by 22%. I don’t have a choice, I didn’t vote for self destruction… the weak minded mor-ONS did.

We felt the same way before we left San Diego. We were caught in the rat race. We had thousands of dollars in fixed costs every month. Now our fixed costs for our entire property are only a few hundred dollars a month (including the resort). We probably spend $600 a month on food, but if worst came to worst we could reduce that to $300 a month pretty easily. Healthcare is free if you are a resident and medicine is almost always under $2 a month if it is available in generic. With zero debt we could realistically live here indefinitely for under $500 a month including all expenses if the worst happened.
