OUR FIRST EVER ROUND IN MICHIGAN!! (2020 DGLO practice round)

Well.. you could say better late than never. Eagle McMahon and I finally made it out to Michigan after not quite making it for the past 5 years. Fresh off the plane, we tried attacking Toboggan - one of the most physically challenging courses we've ever played. Paul McBeths historical -18 round back in 2018 was in our minds playing today. And I think we both agree that it's even more impressive, now that we've played this course. Enjoy!

Welcome to the Mitten! I live about an hour from that course and played my last round there on Saturday. As a Michigan resident I am still shocked at the -18 Paul shot having played the course in person. But I think people who have never set foot there and saw that round as well could have the wrong perception of the course itself. I like that even touring pros who travel the world to play and throw waaaay farther than I can are still humbled and thrilled by the same course. I like how you mentioned just how much elevation is in play because the camera really doesn't do it justice. The basket placements are treacherous the terrain is unforgiving and the rough is some of the thickest I have ever encountered. However its one of the most exhilarating courses I have ever played. Also if you get an opportunity to play Flip City, make sure you take it!

So glad you two made it this year. Course about 3 miles from my home. Went last year to be a fanboy and looking forward to seeing even more of the greats this year. Mcbeth and KJ battled to the last hole last year. Hoping for another good weekend. It is amazing to see in person as so many of your level of players make it look like you are playing a different sport than I do you guys and gals (FPO also has gods/goddesses) given level of play.

Im from Michigan, that course is much harder than it looks for sure. 18 down there is seriously impossible, it's insane that he did it, best round ever or one of them yep. Best of luck, glad you guys made it out to Michigan, lots of good courses here. Over 300 i think and growing. Lots of heavily wooded courses that have tunnel shots and small gaps, and some good open/ wooded courses. Yes wear long socks or pants if you like. We have ticks and poison ivy is also a concern here.
