I’m glad you enjoy Cambodia. You should try Phnom Penh noodle soup. It’s well known in Cambodia to eat for breakfast or lunch. We have beef noodle soup too. It’s different from Vietnamese pho. You should try it too. They are all very good. Also, try Cambodian traditional dishes, such as amok, Somlaw kauko, papaya salad with fresh baby shrimps, lotus stems salad, beef sticks, Lote char, stir fried noodles, and Cambodian deserts, etc…and etc…the list goes on and on. Have fun but be safe. Thank you for your visit.

Top secret - how I solve my laundry issue during traveling: travel light and wash your own dirty clothes by hands at the hotel's washroom! Travel safe and enjoy your trip.
@AttilaAndZae2 жыл бұрын
Funny enough, before starting our trip, we did buy a clothesline that we’ve been travelling with, but we never used it. We thought that we would do laundry the way you mentioned, but sometimes we don’t stay in the same place for more than a couple days and we have a ton of clothes combined, so it proves to be difficult.
@EnigmaticaStranga2 жыл бұрын
@@AttilaAndZae You should always agree on the charge for a haircut even if it's at a street barber's before hand as some people will try to overcharge inexperienced foreign travelers. I always had my haircut locally too [basic cut and shave] and it's never more than two dollars each time. In the villages it's about 5,000 riel which is just over 1 dollar. The extra head massage etc. is usually included in that charge. I personally think it's better to tip someone for a good honest service than being overcharged. Take care.

Please don’t spoil the local people with tips, when shops for cloths, shoes, jewelry, and etc always bargain to get a good deal out of it. Street foods are cheap unless you go for a dine in. A place where a lot of people eat usually they have good foods and are inexpensive. Take you time to walk around the areas you should be able to find a lot of good places to enjoy. I am glad you chose Cambodia for your first vacation destination and I hope you love the country and come back again.
@AttilaAndZae2 жыл бұрын
We’ve been learning as we go and we’re already doing a better job at bargaining 😊
@snp00112 жыл бұрын
This is ridiculous and offensive. Give tips, they need it, to say “don’t spoil the locals” is just viciously cruel and low. I never bargain and always give them more when I am there. The amount you give is small but it could help them tremendously.
@snp00112 жыл бұрын

@mikewhocheeseharry52922 жыл бұрын
Perhaps it’s a good way to remember it lol? In case you’re curious, Phnom Penh means “Full or Grand Mountain”. Phnom means mountain or hill and Penh means full, great, or grand. Their adjective is used after the noun in contrast to English. Also, the “p and h” are sounded out; they don’t make a “f” sound like English.
